I did this hike three weeks ago and wasn’t disappointed. I saw a moose on my way up. The three lakes and waterfalls were great. The hike has some steeper climbs, but they are very manageable if you take a minute to catch your breath.

I hit the trail after driving up to the trailhead from orson smith park. I got the last parking spot at 7:00 AM. The first two miles aren’t bad, but mile 3 is straight up the mountain! Views are spectacular but if you have a fear of heights don’t do this hike. You have to boulder up the ridge and sometimes your clinging to a rock with a narrow ledge with 200 ft cliffs on either side. It took me 9 hours from car to car with a 10 minute stay on the top.

This is the second year in a row doing this hike. This hike is very steep and the bouldering at the top is steep, but the views are spectactle!

This was my first time hiking the trail. It was overgrown in some places and had several moderate inclines, but provided great views of the Salt Lake Valley at the top.

Decided to do this hike with my two boys (8 and 10) after camping at the Spruces the night before. The boys complained about the incline going up from Brighton, but overall it really wasn't bad and was a great hike that I knew my boys could survive.

Decided to finally hike Mt. Olympus again as it had been over 20 years when I did it as a teenager. I got off to a rough start as I didn't see the trail going up at the rock at the bottom of the trail and followed the Porter Rockwell Trail for a half mile before realizing I wasn't actually on the trail for Mt. Olympus. Going up is a grind with very little breaks in incline till the saddle. Bouldering up was hard, but manageable. The views were amazing. I did run into a rattlesnake on the trail halfway down. I gave it plenty of distance and walked around the rock it was half hiding under. Overall a great, but difficult hike!

I hiked this trail with my brother after doing Mount Olympus as a warmup. We got to the parking lot at 4:30 AM and it was already 3/4 full. The hike up was beautiful including stewart falls. We ran into multiple groups of mountain goats. My brother who wasn't in the best of shape turned around at Emerald Lake while I continued on through the mile long boulder field and then up to the summit. Breathtaking views at the top. I quickly came down. Overall a great hike.

Decided to do this with my brother in one day after doing a little research. We started from the trailhead at 3:45 AM and made quick work to dollar lake. We saw three different moose on our way up. We took the shortcut at Gunsight pass and bouldered up the mountain. The summit was hard as there is no defined trail through the boulders, but just keep making your way up and try and stay close to the ridge line. The one thing I would change would be not to take the chute down to try and save some mileage. The loose rocks sliding down the steep incline kept hitting my ankles and multiple times I had to sit down to try and stop myself. Finished the hike at 5:30 and was physically fine, but mentally drained from the long day.
