Long lave tube hike--remember to bring high-quality flashlight! Pay to park so bring cash.

Beautiful and easy trail! Out and back is about six miles with ~thirteen creek crossings. I wore Chacos which I found rather convenient for all the creek/water action you'll experience on this trail. As the trail is so flat and relatively not rocky my sandals worked just fine. I also recommend continuing to hike past the end of the maintained trail--that's when the adventure really starts!

I started on a Friday at around 11am and experienced moderate traffic. Nothing too terrible, but start earlier if you can. Parking is $10 which I thought to be rather steep so I just parked down the road a little bit. Walking along this highway is not super ideal but there are multiple pull-offs for cars not too far from the trailhead and then you only have to pay $2 to walk in!

Hiked this trail on a Sunday--I would say it is definitely moderately to heavily trafficked. Good workout and beautiful views at the summit! We started at the lowest parking lot.

Easy hike not too far from the city. Pretty good views and well-kept trail--if you're not trying to drive far I would recommend this loop. $7 entrance fee

Great short hike close to the city! We went up Saddle Rock and then down Gregory Canyon. Definitely a good workout and some awesome views of Boulder! Parking is limited at the trailhead and costs $5

My friend and I backpacked in The Redwoods recently via the West Ridge Trail and returning on the James Irvine Trail. We camped overnight at Gold Bluffs Beach which is one of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed at. This particular route was about 10/11 miles a day and included about a mile hike along the beach which was absolutely beautiful!

Gold Bluffs beach campground has water, bathrooms, and separate (cheaper!) campsites for backpackers. The route is relatively easy as there is not a lot of elevation change. You will pass waterfalls, Fern Canyon, streams, and looming Redwoods that leave you in awe.

My friend and I did this trail on a Tuesday at around 11am. Since we got a pretty late start the parking lot at the trailhead and the Park & Ride lot were both full so we parked at one of the pull-offs on the side of the road (luckily there's quite a few of these!) The shuttle from the Park & Ride is only about a 15 minute ride to Sky Pond. Trail is mild until the last bit--but the view is absolutely breathtaking and most definitely worth it! If you keep scrambling around the edge of Sky Pond you'll discover the other, equally beautiful, alpine lake behind it!

Amazing two mile round trip hike into a cathedral-esque cave. I definitely recommend either renting the flashlights they provide or bringing an extremely powerful one of your one. Wear proper footing and layers

Absolutely stunning views of the canyon and a great way to escape some of the crowds! I had been to the Grand Canyon once before but only walked along the rim--hiking down into it made this already unbelievable national park even more breathtaking. Bring at least 3L of water and wear proper footwear!

Bri Tiffany reviewed Tamolitch Blue Pool via McKenzie River Trail

We started from Sahalie Falls and hiked to the Tamolitch Blue Pool via the Mckenzie River Trail. If you have the time I suggest doing this particular leg of the Mckenzie River Trail (about ten miles round trip). The trail is flat and easy to hike! We went mid-June and were able to manage a quick dip--if you can handle the frigid water I recommend it!
