This has to be my new favorite place to hike in North Georgia. I started at the Interpretive center inside Cloudland Canyon State Park. From there signs will direct you to the trailhead. It's all downhill in the beginning, stairs and walkways guide you to the split. Hemlock Falls will be to your left and Sitton's Gulch to the right. You should take the 10-15 min walk to Hemlock falls, they are pretty awesome. After Hemlock falls you encounter a few more stairs. After that smooth sailing. The trail is well maintained and runs along the creek for most of the way. There are several waterfalls as you hike to the end of the trail, giving you many opportunities to take picture. Definitely take a camera.

What a nice little hike. Only about a mile but the waterfall at the end is outstanding.

Historic Jackson Hill was the location of Fort Norton, an earthen fortification system which defended Rome during the Civil War. It has several trails to choose from, all very easy to get to and to hike. Today, winding trails provide a quiet getaway just blocks from Downtown Rome. Outdoor exhibits include the Boswell Cabin Trailhead, a cotton gin, replicas of Civil War-era cannons.

Note this trail is only open two days a month. The first and last Saturday of each month. Having said that this is an amazing trail. Exceptionally clean well maintained and has a touch of difficulty. We took the middle trail out and the and the adventure hike trail back. Mildly difficulty at the beginning with ropes to traverse down a steep incline. The Rocks and the waterfall are well with the Trip. Overall a great hike. Two thumbs up.
