Drove down the Natchez Trace on a beautiful Christmas Day. ( there is a detour 5 miles before the trail) The park is very well kept and the trail is easy to follow. I took the Old Trace to the edge of the park then followed the trail to the camp area and back to the lot I parked in. Really enjoyed the creek along the trail.
This trail is about 1-1/2 hours away, but I would certainly go back to share it with a friend!

I did this short hike today despite some reviews. I agree, the fishing areas are disgustingly filled with debris and I could see it being overgrown. I was wearing long sleeves and being fall, the trail was not to thick. I may go back to check out longer sections if I'm in the area.
    * would not do this trail in spring or summer!!
    P. S. the seemingly abandoned park area was creepy.

Nice Greenway. I did it mostly for the Civil War history aspect.

Really enjoyed this trail! Paved, dirt, and rocky trails. Mostly flat trails make it a nice easy walk through the woods. The different surfaces make it perfect for all hiking and walking skill levels.i suggest starting in counter-clockwise direction from Wilderness Center. Great way to get the youngins into hiking. Also a nice little trail system to try out gear before doing bigger hikes ( if you live in the area). I will recommend these trails and return.

Nice trail. Interesting to learn about the battle that took place here. I've done this hike on 3 separate occasions and enjoyed each time.

Adams review is spot on! Did this trail today and it is exactly as he stated last year. Definitely difficult and challenging to stay on the trail! I would NOT do this trail in the summer!!!

Our trip to Twin Arches started at the Middle Creek trailhead. We went "straight" to Jakes Place, set up our tent, did the Twin Arches loop, then stayed the night. The next day we did the loops we had bypassed on the first day. Each loop was spectacular and had its own feel. There are two trails to the falls to see it from different sides. Looks like people go down to the falls (around fence line) but it is causing erosion:-(. The Slaves Falls Loop is rolling hills thru the woods and was pretty easy.

This loop was easy but not to be missed.

Great hike. We started at Middle Creek trailhead, and camped at Jake's place. The view from the north arch was amazing. The trail is moderate, stairs were probably the hardest part :-).

There are 3,5,10,and 20 mile trail options. We did the 5 mile trail as we had other trails in the area to check out that day. It was a great hike with only one good sized hill. We started behind the museum, which is worth checking out. There was a nice shelter for camping about halfway along. I would definetly recommend this hike and would like to try the longer trails.

Possibly my favorite day hikes. We started at parking lot and first checked out Laurel Falls for a short time. We then went back and headed towards Stone Door. From there we did the Big Creek Gulf Trail (BCGT). Along the way I checked out Ranger Falls. You have to cross the creek, which can be sketchy depending on water level. Definitely worth a little safe effort! From there we hiked up to Big Creek Rim Trail(BCRT).
I recommend hiking poles and a small lunch. It's 11 miles so we started early as sunset is around 4:45 right now and we like to take our time and enjoy the trail and scenery.
