Brendan Crockett reviewed Olancha Pass and Summit Meadow

Since a large portion of the Sierras were still in heavy snow (as of late May, 2017), this was one of the few passes we could sink our teeth into for a quick weekend overnight.
We got a pretty early start to beat the heat, and got to around 8000' before 11am. Bugs were a bit of a nuisance, but other than that, this was a very pleasant hike!
Olancha made for great elevation practice, and there are some great camping spots once you clear the pass and get closer to Summit Lake. It's also quite nice that a lot of people overlook this trail; over Memorial Day weekend, we only ran into three other groups over the course of three days.
As a few websites have mentioned, there's a really nice Wrangler camp about 1.5 miles West of Olancha Pass - where a larger creek meets Summit Lake. It has a picnic table and fire pit, and other amenities. It not entirely clear who owns it, but consensus is that it is fair use so long as you respect the area.

Brendan Crockett reviewed Sespe River Trail to Willett Hot Springs

We had a very pleasant weekend hiking out on the Sespe River Trail. I'd agree with the difficulty rating as "moderate," and it was still enjoyable despite rainy weather.

Early May was a great time to go: weather was in the mid-60s to upper-40s, and the creek was still relatively full. (I can see this trail being very hot in Summer months, as there isn't much tree coverage or shade.) As other reviewers noted, there are a few snakes along the path; we ran into a juvenile Rattlesnake and a Gopher Snake.

We stopped a bit after Willett Hot Springs, as we heard from many people along the way that it was pretty crowded. We enjoyed privacy throughout the night, just a few hundred feet away from the river crossing.

I'd give Sullivan Canyon 3.5 stars. For being so close to Santa Monica / West LA, it's a great distance and easily accessible. Also a big plus that dogs are allowed, albeit they must be on leash (although this is not strictly enforced).

The prettiest areas are closest to the South trailhead, and it's a nice, gradual climb. As other reviewers mentioned, it gets a bit boring after 2-3 miles. Lots of mountain bikers, and relatively shaded on and off.
