This hike is beautiful, with stunning views at the top. It's not well marked, but the peak as the destination makes it fairly intuitive. The "loop" part was unclear, so it became an out and back for me, which was still great. I would rate this moderate to difficult as far as incline.

This is a great hike particularly if part of the group just wants to hang out at Eureka Lake while others hike. The road to the trailhead has improved drastically, making it more appealing as a hiking option.

Excellent for families and elderly. would be a fabulous short running trail. It's completely flat with little to no obstacles. The lake is peaceful and nice, though not spectacular.

The trail is super easy to navigate compared to some other hikes in the area.

This trail does not allow dogs, making it a positive or negative, depending on your perspective.

Beautiful trail, very easy, with the reward of a lovely waterfall and viewing deck. Must do early Spring (snow patches) through mid-summer (the falls dry up). The ADA accessibility is a unique element, obviously making it more crowded, but not at all challenging for hiker types. It's still worth it for all nature lovers and serves as a very inclusive activity.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the negligence of the dog owners as far as disposing of their waste. I was shocked at how many "baggies" and "piles" there were along the trails. Shameful!

Very rewarding hike with frequent views and inviting lakes for a swim or picnic spot. If you are doing the loop, I recommend going out of the Round Lake Trailhead/Gold Lake Lodge and going clockwise. It's 1.5 miles to Round Lake and then lake after lake the ready of the way. a total of about 5 miles. If you're looking for a shorter version, go out of Long Lake Trailhead, it's called the Bear Lakes Trailhead from that location. Lots of options from there.
