Take the blue blaze to the 1777 foot path blaze and connect back to the blue blaze to finish up. I'd just do an out and back to the Timp peak instead of the loop. The loop adds no value except additional miles. The loop descends into a valley only to reascend back up to connect to the blue with no additional sites.

Lots of intersecting trails here that are marked by numbers. If you go make sure have a map with the trail numbers listed on it or find a trail head sign with the map and take a picture of it. The trailhead I started at didn't have a picture of this map, but the actual fire tower location had the numbered map. Did 7.5 miles and I would return on a non rainy day to some of the bouldering that's available at 2 different locations during the loop off trail.

So many wild flowers of all colors on the first 1.5 miles of this hike. More than I've seen on any other hike before. The views just continue to get better. You hike through a canyon with views of the Glacier and waterfalls pouring over the mountain on your right. If you continue past the end of the official trail at the 2.8 mile mark you can continue on to hike up to the waterfalls and caves ahead and on the right. You can even go all the way to the glacier if you choose. This hike really is a must do and was my favorite hike in Banff.

The hike is steep with continuous elevation gain following switchbacks until you reach the top. I didn't think the trail was too crowded especially when you compare it to visiting Lake Louise or Lake Moraine. The visiting center at the top is over crowded, but the views are spectacular and you have the feeling of accomplishment of hiking up compared to all the gondola riders who wouldn't have made it a quarter mile hiking. There's even Starbucks coffee in the visitors center.

There is some nice views from the 2 mile section on top of the ridge, but don't expect to see something unique because of the trails name. The hike itself is easy.

Blaze Clymer reviewed Alum Cave Trail to Mount LeConte

To truly complete this hike and reach the peak of the mountain you need to take the Cliffs trail for another .25 miles past the lodge. That being said this hike is strenuous and should not be done by people not in shape. It's a steady climb in elevation from the start until you turn back. Honestly for most people just going to the Alum cave and back would be enough. Only the avid hiker will get any enjoyment of doing the full hike. After Alum Cave the hike continues climbing up steadily and is kind of boring.

Blaze Clymer reviewed Anthony's Nose Trail from Beacon Highway

Despite the above hike summary you can actually access Anthony's Nose from a few different trail heads and reach the main Vista within 1.5 miles. So technically you could do a quick 3 mile hike if you wanted to. I did the full out and back hike and it there is a lot of up and down the mountain resulting in a ton of elevation gain. It's a nice hike, but I'd do Breakneck Ridge down the road every time over this hike. The views and the challenge are better at Breakneck.

The first 2 miles is a switchback climb up and then the fun begins. Tons of rock scrambles that will challenge you and may be difficult for some people. Plenty of vista views the entire hike. The hike down after the summit is easy. The rock scrambles were a highlight and made this a memorable hike for me.
