An amazing beautiful state park with two great waterfall area to visit... trail was busy because it was a beautiful Saturday but it was a beautiful day. The trail down into the gorge is rocky and steep but not that long but its a climb coming back up. The trail over to the nature center and Cane Creek Falls was a more normal moderate trail with a beautiful conclusion..we let one of our group stay there at the end of the day and we hiked the back part of the loop back to the parking area pretty quickly.. this is a really special place.

Also dont miss the drive out to the west late in the day on hwy 30 toward Spencer... the mointain road and the cumberland plateau valley is spectacularly beautiful in the Spring

No elevation gain but really nice no high traffic trail that runs by the lake... nice picnic areas with bathrooms at the end of the trail on both sides of the 4 mile trail.

The Warner Park system is such a gem. We started right at the trail from the Vaughn Rd side and its basically a 450 foot climb over about half a mile. The rest of the trail is pretty simple but really nice short walk in the woods.

Great trail once you get it. We parked about half a mile from the nature center at Edwin Warner so we were a mile and a half to the trail, then 4.5 miles which is awesome but not easy then 1.5 miles back.... i will figure out how to get closer to the trail next time... but great trail.

We did the West loop. We chose the switchbacks to the right from the parking lot and it's pretty much up hill for 1.25 miles. I believe you gain about 700 feet or so of elevation in a mile but the switchbacks make that really manageable for even us novices. The view at the top is so worth the effort. A really nice 2 hour hike.
