I love this hike in the summer so I decided to try it in the winter and it was wonderful! It was challenging in spots but it was fine! Due to all the snow I took a wrong turn and couldn’t find the lakes. However, I did manage to scale my way up to the summit which was amazing! And the snow made it a lot of FUN for me and my pup to slide back on down!

An easy hike and fun hike to do to get out and hike during the winter months!

This is a simple trail and the views are phenomenal! There’s the glaciers, mountains, river and if you’re lucky...a heard of mountain sheep to walk past! The sheep are really tame so there’s nothing to worry about. They were curious about my pup, but my pup isn’t phased by wildlife so it was fine. This trail is just a fun way to take a break from the more challenging hikes while still having gorgeous views. You just want to get there early though to avoid the crowds!

Highly recommend giving this hike a chance in the winter hikes as well! It was still easy and my pup loved it! It is gorgeous and it is peaceful! And who doesn’t love frozen Waterfalls?

I rated this 4 stars just because of the scramble alone.
If you're looking for a challenging, fun and adventurous scramble...this one is it!
It was a challenge but I didn't find it to be that difficult. The view at the top is beautiful! I started doing the loop however felt it was going to be really drawn out with a repetitious view. Compared to other hikes I've done this loop didn't feel worth doing. So I chose to go back down and scramble up along the inside of the mountain which was a really neat feeling! You have to have a lot of trust and confidence in the mountain and your own footing coming down. Perhaps doing the loop would be easier for that reason.
Checking in with this app works great to ensure you don't get lost.
    Proper hiking shoes are necessary.
Hearing the traffic from the highway the whole time takes away from this hike.
Although I did bring my dog who appeared to have no issues, I wouldn't recommend it as it is quite steep.

This hike definitely makes it to the top of the favourites list with it's amazing views! It is definitely challenging but it is so much fun! When I went everyone hiked to the top, had lunch and then appeared to hike back down. I highly recommend pushing yourself a little further and going down the other side and right through the pass and connecting to the other side of the mountain to complete the full loop! The experience is breath taking! Just be careful for the loose rocks as I have super grip hiking shoes and I stumbled a few times. When you get to the other side you end up going through the trees there are a few view stops. It is a little creepy wandering alone through the trees with grizzly bear warning signs but just play some music and it's fine! There is also a creek through there which is very rewarding if you bring your dog! My 3 year old chocolate lab had a blast on this hike but there was one spot going over a rocky cliff that was a little frightening for him so be cautious of that. The loop took me and the pup 4.5 hours.

The parking lot is a disaster and is not very well labeled so we had to wander around a it to find this trail.
There are lots of maps along the way once you get started though which was helpful. Lots of trails in the area so definitely keep checking in with those maps!
We did Boundary Ridge-Strange Brew-Ranger Summit. The trail was nice and it was enjoyable but the views weren't anything spectacular. There weren't many hikers and mostly just mountain bikers.
It seems like Bragg Creek area is more for mountain biking than hiking.
