Beautiful hike. 3 hours exactly (not including our time spent at the lake) and that was with lots of photo/snack breaks. The wildflowers and waterfalls were so pretty, and the lake at the end was so serene. One of my favorites!

Get there early! We arrived at 7:30 and parking was fine, about 1/3 full. By the time we left at 11:30 there were no open spots.

Lunch and nitro ice cream in Nederland are great treats afterwards :-)

I look forward to continuing the hike up to Upper Diamond Lake next time.

Gorgeous 360° views. You can get the most amazing panoramic shots. Very mild and brief hike.

Watch out for ticks! Went up July 4th around 7 PM.

Hike down to bay took us exactly 45 mins. It’s not strenuous on the way down, just very exposed. Snorkeling in the bay was incredible. The trek back up took exactly one hour because of the incline, blazing heat, and ~8 water breaks. We live in Boulder, CO and are accustomed to hiking at 5,500 ft elevation, yet the hike back up was one of the hardest hikes I’ve ever done. Not for the faint-hearted!

Bring a lot of water and also I recommend long sleeves, sunglasses and a hat to shield from sun exposure.

Gorgeous. Be prepared for drastic weather changes even though the hike is no longer than 30 mins! Our family had a lot of fun on the rope swing near the beaches.
