Easy trail for people looking to get into backpacking. Tons of camping spots (my favorite is the one by the waterfalls) and plenty of water to filter throughout the trail. I agree that the trail can be overgrown in some areas but the trail blazes (orange) are easy enough to follow, just make sure you pay attention as some of the trail has been rerouted so the online maps may not be spot on. As others have mentioned there are a ton of ticks in this forest so bring bug spray or better yet have your clothes treated. Not much to see other than the waterfalls but if youre looking to try new gear out or do an easy overnight I would recommend this trail.

The falls are beautiful and a must see if near the area, trail is easy enough to follow and this hike can be done in under 30 mins. Not so good, lots of college aged kids screaming, blocking the trail and drinking beer. Pretty sure this is a common occurrence as the falls smelled heavily like beer, its unfortunate people cant respect the environment.

Boulder field is a really interesting geological anonymity that I highly recommend you check out if you havent yet. Couple of reason for the lower rating though, 1. there is a gravel road that leads right up to boulder field, so its pretty guaranteed that the field will be packed on any given nice weather day, and that results in there being higher than usual trash and even some graffiti on the rocks. 2. Its really close to a highway so theres high traffic noise for most of the hike. Again I highly recommend you check it out but after doing it twice myself I doubt ill be returning.

Great hike with some amazing views near and around Cobble Mtn. Started from the lower half and went counter so that I saved the views for the 2nd half of the hike. Perfect hike to do in the fall, the colors are beautiful and pictures cant do it justice. Easy trail to follow and i personally didnt find it extremely hard, did it on a late Saturday Morning after a few showers and had the whole trail to myself until the end where I passed a few people heading up Cobble Mtn in the early PM. By the time I was finishing the weather really cleared up, the sun was shining and the parking lot was starting to get packed, so I expect this hike gets busy when the weather is nice, luckily I dont mind hiking in the rain and the sun was out by the time I started the 2nd half of the hike, so I was able to enjoy Cobble Mtn for myself. This trail has a lot of boulder crossings which were very slippery after the rain and a few of the trails acted as streams, so I highly recommend you have waterproof boots with good traction. Great place to go after this hike is Kent Falls Brewery, its a working farm brewery and they have some great beer on tap made right there for a very reasonable price, plus the workers there are super friendly, youll thank me later!

The falls really are beautiful. Went on a early Saturday morning while it was raining and there was only one other family there, which is not the norm but was welcoming. From past reviews this place gets packed to the point where parking is closed, so I highly recommend you go while its raining. I also went on November 3rd so i didnt have to pay the 20 dollar fee (for non residents only and definitely not worth it imo), after Oct 31 there is no fee. Trail can be hard to follow after the falls so have the offline maps downloaded and ready (service is spotty here). Lastly the town of Kent is a nice small hiker town that I highly recommend you visit, tons of small shops with a lot to see and very friendly people.

Quick easy hike. The view was pretty good, especially with the fall colors. Constant road noise is the major downfall of this hike.
