Did this hike yesterday 9/16 and it was my fourth 14er. It was by far the hardest one I’ve done. We stared at 415 am and finished by noon. It took way longer than I thought it would, but it was the last part up to the summit that killed me with the steepness. I feel like the views were actually pretty awesome compared to what I’ve read on other reviews, especially since the aspens are changing and it’s beautiful. The rocks are pretty tough to walk and navigate on and I busted my butt probably 5 or 6 times on the way down, so take it slow. It was worth the challenge though! Also, it was very windy and cold at the summit so bring plenty of layers and gloves

This was the most miserable hike doing the stairs but that was expected lol. Awesome views at the top though and everyone was super friendly cheering each other on. I’m glad I did it, but I will probably never go back due to ptsd of stairs that I now have (I’m being dramatic..definitely do it at least once!)

Hiked this trail today and it was awesome! It was my third 14er and I really struggled at the beginning with trying to catch my breath and getting light headed with how steep it was, but once you get past the initial incline, it’s gets much better. The views of Bierstadt are awesome and there were a ton of mountain goats and sheep! Lots of wildlife. The only downside is when you get to the summit and have all the people who drove to the top up there as well, but that’s just part of it unfortunately. Still an awesome trail. Lots of climbing and make sure to pay attention to the trail markers to find your way once you get closer to the summit. Also, the way down in this loop is extremely steep and everyone including myself was falling because of the rocks being so loose. It was miserable but worth going down that way instead of walking the road.

I loved the views this trail had to offer with the lake and surrounding mountains. I will say though that it was probably my least favorite trail to hike that I’ve done so far, and I’ve done many trails including 14ers. The reason I didn’t like this one was because of the gravel when you go to hike to the top of the glacier. There is way too much sliding around and stressing out trying to figure out the best place to put your feet without falling. I was not a huge fan of that. Other than that, it was really pretty, and if you hike to one of the trails to the right of the glacier, there were a ton of wildflowers and even more pretty views. I’m glad I did it, but I probably wouldn’t care to go back because of the rocks and sketchy trail to the top.

Did this hike on Saturday 8/4 and it was my second 14er. It was definitely easier than my first which was Grays, but it was still a very long hike and I was exhausted by the end of it. It was so beautiful though and worth the climb to the top! Bring lots of layers and gloves since it was pretty cold and windy. We started at 430 am to avoid the chaos with the amount of people getting there and we were happy we did that even though everyone we met along the way was very nice. My mind still gets blown that people head up at 12 or 1 and think that’s a smart idea..storms roll in people! Be safe about it :)

We did Grays on Saturday 7/21 and it was our first 14er. It was so beautiful! It was the best feeling finally making it to the top. Wish I could have done Torrey’s as well, but one was enough for us. The road to the trailhead is just as bad as everyone said it would be, so be prepared with the right vehicle for it. We got there at 5 am and the parking lot was already full, so we had to start parking along the road. Get there super early if you don’t want to add miles onto your hike! Also, it’s so packed with people so don’t be afraid to pop a squat in front of a stranger lol. Not my favorite moment crouching between some rocks on the way down, but I survived. Also, make sure your sign says “Grays” and not “Gray’s”. We had a grammar nazi at the top that yelled at all of us for having an apostrophe ... my bad lady! I made the sign late the night before :( lol Awesome experience though! Also, I read a review saying it was 10.5 miles from their tracker..my Apple Watch tracked 7.7 miles doing only Grays

Just did this hike today, and I about died at the very end of the trail trying to get to the top, but it was well worth it with the views! I loved every part of this trail and there weren’t many people at all since I think they were all on Herman’s, so it was nice to not have it so crowded. We got there at 8 am and the parking lot was packed by the time we finished and came back, so I recommend getting there early. Such a beautiful trail though!

Did this trail on Saturday and Maroon Bells is absolutely gorgeous. It was well worth the long drive from Denver. I kind of wish we went a little further past Crater Lake, but it was the most beautiful trails I’ve done so far. Definitely recommend

Get to this trail early so you don’t have to deal with the crap ton of people that come here. It’s beautiful! I plan on going back and going all the way to Chicago lakes. We just went to the reservoir and back. We got there around 8 and left around 1040 but we stopped a lot to take pictures and have a snack
