Went hiking on this trail when the rain was heavy and the summit was cloudy, didn’t make it to the summit but made it to both of the other caps. Will definitely pack lighter next time and bring a buddy, but overall, a great and challenging hike!!!

Strenuous hike but amazing views, once I started to hit tree line around sunset the views were awesome. The hike back down was easy, just be prepared for a steep hike up and down, with a small stream running down the trail at certain times of year (I went in November 2017). It is easy to stick to the trail due to running alongside a river for the first half, make sure to have a map or download an offline map and prepare accordingly, as I had no cell phone reception for at least a half hour outside of the trailhead as well as none on the trail as well.

Definitely moderate to hard, getting out to the meadow and up to the top in the last 2 miles was one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. The last mile in the meadow is very rough, make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Absolutely stunning hike, 11/10 would recommend!
