It was a nice nature walk. People carved names in the rocks ALL over, lots of stairs built of rock and wood, clear pathway. You could hear the cars from the road a lot of the hike, too. It was ok. A bit too mainstream and made-up than I prefer.

This is a get your picture and leave type of hike. Compared to Corona and Bowtie, it was meh. The arch itself is awesome. The hike up is nothing special. At the top, you’re met with a whole bunch of people with little hiking ettiequte. People perched under the arch making it impossible to get a photo and groups of people talking and yelling.

An all around better option is Corona and Bowtie. The drive there is AWESOME! The hike is so freaking fun and the arch is just as spectacular.

You have to see Delicate arch when you come to Utah, but definitely don’t do this as your only arch hike!

AMAZING! This is much more fun and spectacular than Delicate arch. Quiet trail, awesome views, and the arch is jaw dropping. Exploring around the arch makes your feel like a little kid! DO THIS HIKE! Again, MUCH better, in my opinion, than Delicate Arch.

***Don’t let the crossing stop you from doing this hike!

This is a beautiful hike. I did it in the pouring rain. All 8+ miles it rained. The coastline was still beautiful and visible and the ocean was rough but so powerful. I can’t imagine this hike not being incredible in any weather or any month of the year. The river crossing... it was flowing fast and I couldn’t see the bottom because of all the rain. WITH THAT BEING SAID, it was still no big deal... at all and actually pretty fun! I’m 5’1 and the water was just above my knees but at no point did I feel unsteady. The water level was mid shin before all the rain, when I began. The bottom is smooth and there really isn’t anything to trip you up. At the start of my hike I took my boots and socks off to cross, on the way back I left them on. The river is right at the start of the trail. Again, don’t let the crossing stop you from doing this hike!

This hike is spectacular! The views the entire time are amazing! The sun was setting the last mile of my hike and it created the most beautiful scenery. Do not come
to Death Valley and skip this!

Super fun and beautiful! You can’t really get lost on this trail but if it weren’t for this map, I definitely wouldn’t have found the Vortex. It’s really fun to skip and jump around on the rocks! I agree with the moderate rating. I hiked this pretty fast and saw some people running it. No more than 2-3 hours is needed. I finished in under 2 and I stopped for tons of photos along the way.

This is amazing! The bridge is massive! I could have spent all day exploring!

Perfect way to get the true vibe of Morro Bay! It has beach, animals, rocks, and small town harbor vibe. This is an easy walk that you can do in flip flops if you want! It’s accessible to all ages, paved, no elevation gain, and pet friendly. The sea otters were ALL over the bay. I walked and watched them for nearly 2 hours. I also saw seal and tons of cool birds. The end of the walkway affords the ability to climb on mounds of rock formations. It was super fun to climb and sit to watch the sunset.
