Easy enough hike while still feeling like an adventure. The water is nice and it wasn't too crowded in mid May.

Fun, easy and short. Red rock is always beautiful.

This was one of the first mountain biking trails I've ever done. It was challenging for a beginner, but very doable.

This was my very first mountain bike ride ever and was great to learn on. Partially paved, with beautiful views of the lake.

Honestly, the place isn't that hard to find. You can drive up the dirt road and park near the entrance of the National Forest. Or you can park at Mack Park and just walk/bike/run up the road which never hurt anybody. The river is beautiful and it made for an awesome trail run.

Super simple and very very very easy. The views are still stunning.

My husband and I did this trail toward the end of the day, and we saw like 2 more people. It was stunning. Great views, and the informational plaques were actually pretty cool and inspiring. It seems longer than 3 miles depending on when you do it.

Really pretty loop. There's no clear destination point if you're into that. Being up there on the ridge is amazing though. I recommend starting on the south end of the loop. The north end is way more steep. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the wind caves on the other side of the canyon. Not too heavily trafficked.

I LOVE this trail. Great destination and beautiful hike. It's not a walk in the park, but definitely not too difficult for kids or dogs. Can get extremely busy during the summer. Go as early as possible or on a semi-rainy day. You can climb to the top of the waterfall if you're really ambitious.

If you're looking for a moderate hike with a great destination, this is it! It can be fairly busy, so the earlier you go the better. The spring time can be fairly muddy. Bring plenty of water for the switchbacks. The trail is always clear and trimmed.

We did this trail today (7/24) and it is HUGELY overgrown. 6 foot tall weeds lined a lot of the trail, along with loads of stinging nettle and bushes. Tons of flies. It is gorgeous when you can see through the weeds and some of the more clear spots have pretty fields of wildflowers. I wouldn't recommend to anyone who isn't at least mildly active.
