Gunung Pulai to Blue Lake Can be done but not advisible. From submit of Gunung Pulai, there is a trail toward blue lake. You can be very certain you will not meet someone else in this trail. The trail is unclear. Too many times I accidentally went off trail and try to renavigate myself. At the very end of the trail, it is fence with barb wire. You unable to proceed with the trail since it is blocked. It is a must to go off trail significantly in order to exit the jungle. When you go off track, expect torn branches, narrow gaps, extremly thick ferns and obviously no visible trail. Remarks: Not a trail for beginner. Must have experience go off trail. Go in early morning. Incase you are not confident going off trail, you need time to walk back the same trail. Stamina is a must. Should you decided to walk back the trail where you came from, that means you need stamina to gain a total elevation of 1800m. At the end of the trial, you will meet with a cliff. Never ever consider exit the jungle via the cliff. Beside the usual stuffs needed for hiking, bring power bank also.

Easy hike. 40 mins from parking to reach Hammer Waterfall. Should have more signages. Need to cross river once

Starting by trail number 7 and then continue to. There is just 2 viewpoints but the view is not extraordinary. However the jungle is nice. Some parts are slippery and trail 7 is more difficult than 8.

Epic. Covered about 20km there and back. Serious workout that just gets harder toward the end. The summit is not that special, no view to speak of, but its a gorgeous ancient rainforest all the way up. Take 3litres of water or more plus snacks and sugar.

Very exiting trail but due to limited time, couldn't cover the. View point trail and only spent 10min at waterfall

Challenging hike with plenty of steep scrambles up and down until you descend to the waterfall. Coming back is just as challenging so bring plenty of water. The jungle is dense and humid, pack a good insect repellent. The stations along the way are surprisingly good with seating and water, some sell fresh juice too. Parking was easy to find, and its pretty close to the city, only took 25minutes.

The easiest trail. Beautiful waterfall. Went into the water and the strong water feels like massage on the back. Natural jacuzzi.

Not sure I’d recommend unless you want a hell of a story for your family after. Lots of jungle bashing, on both 9A especially and 9B. You can escape to a farm on 9A before the path becomes so dense you almost lose it. Absolutely escape. I ended up attacked by a dog at the end of 9B in the way back. This happened to multiple people on the trail. There were also reports of robbery and assault at different days on the trail. I’m glad I went with a friend - I would NOT recommend hiking this alone, if at all. (It’s also of note the one hospital in Tanah Rata does not carry rabies shots - not fun). Overall, glad I have the ridiculous story, but I would’ve been fine without it. The highlands are beautiful - a drier day and a safer trail would’ve made it even better.
