Disappointing. Most of the paths shown on the map either don’t exist or are closed. Only thing you can do is a small loop on a concrete path around the lake, and one 5 minute side trip on an asphalt road up to a rusty gate and concrete wall. The place is busy and noisy at the weekend with tai chi groups and boom boxes.

Gunung Pulai to Blue Lake Can be done but not advisible. From submit of Gunung Pulai, there is a trail toward blue lake. You can be very certain you will not meet someone else in this trail. The trail is unclear. Too many times I accidentally went off trail and try to renavigate myself. At the very end of the trail, it is fence with barb wire. You unable to proceed with the trail since it is blocked. It is a must to go off trail significantly in order to exit the jungle. When you go off track, expect torn branches, narrow gaps, extremly thick ferns and obviously no visible trail. Remarks: Not a trail for beginner. Must have experience go off trail. Go in early morning. Incase you are not confident going off trail, you need time to walk back the same trail. Stamina is a must. Should you decided to walk back the trail where you came from, that means you need stamina to gain a total elevation of 1800m. At the end of the trial, you will meet with a cliff. Never ever consider exit the jungle via the cliff. Beside the usual stuffs needed for hiking, bring power bank also.

This trail is definitely closed. If you want to go to the Ampang reservoir you need to look for the Bukit Kembara Trail Head.

We walked down from Mount Jasar. It is a bit of a scramble and overgrown but the walk through the tea plantations (not included in this trail) is lovely. Tea house at the end is a nice way to finish up as well

Good trail. Awesome view at the top of Mount Jasar and a fun climb to get there. The journey down towards the tea plantations is a bit of a scramble but it’s a nice walk through them once you get there

We started at 10. At the construction site look at your 1 o'clock to find the staircase up to trial 10. After about 20 mins it's a long steep climb to the top. Be ready for some burning glutes. ;) Retrospectively, I think starting with 6 is less heavy. It's also harder to find the right path for trail 6. You'll wonder if you're on the right track, because it's so dense. Lastly, I fail to understand why this trail leaves trail 6. Where trail 6 continues taking a right turn, this trail will make you go left. Don't. Follow the rest of trail 6. It's absolutely worth the extra 30-45 minutes (including taking amazing pictures!) and a very satisfying end of your hike. :) Five stars easily if taking a right ;) Forgot to turn off the recording when driving up to Mossy Forest btw.

Very easy walk. I was able to see a lot of animals such as silver leaf monkey, lots of birds, centipede, etc.

This covered 90% of the new Black and Yellow Trails and other colours as well.

The stairs are a great workout.

This route should be taken out from search especially the path before and after Blue House because the path was abandoned for too long and we hardly can see a clear path. Thanks to the mighty compass that show us the way that helped to struggled out.

Gotta be careful of moving vehicles and stay on the side. Really steep and it was one workout session. At the top it's rather crowded. Since trail is very steep, gotta walk backwards at some point when coming back or you can walk zig-zag to prevent knees from hurting.

dear admin.. it's not 'hill' but 'hilir'.. aiyah dont confuse people larr.. there's no hill

very easy trail.. better to use emerald hills condo entrance http://tigalalat.blogspot.com/

I came down from the hill this way and I don't think I'd consider going up from here. It's almost all stairs and paved walkways. Not exactly a hike. It is tough though, if that's what you're after. Your knees should be in good form, and have plenty of water. You're going to need it.
