Zion Trip 2017 Map

Road there was a bit rough, but well worth it. We were the only ones there when we went. Spent a few hours along the trail, and got some amazing photos to remember our hike!

Pretty good views and definitely a must do if you come to Zion...however, do not attempt after doing angels landing

Absolutely beautiful! This was the first hike I've done at Zion and I would definitely do it again. The switchbacks were tiring, but the views were worth it. Hiking this trail felt like going through various landscapes.

This was hands down one of the hardest hikes I’ve done. Went in early March, was cold and wore water suits. The hike just goes on and one from warm temps to seeing snow on trees to seeing leaves to the rock scramble back to the car. Pure hell. BUT. When you enter the Subway it’s just pure magical. Bring lots of water.

make sure to go on a sunny day for the best views. the valley looked gray and dull brown instead of its normal brilliant orange due to a combination of cloud cover and wet rock.

there is no snow on the trail currently.

took me 5 hours hiking slowly with breaks. surface is all paved, slickrock, or packed dirt. the hike is relatively easy for its length and elevation change.

Wow, what a great hike! We saw NO ONE the entire hike. Very difficult to find the trail head - had to ask the ranger manning the tunnel booth. Several fun obstacles along the way. If you want to avoid the crowds and hike up an off the path canyon with some beautiful scenery, this is a good one.

Great short hike with a nice view at the end. Very busy, however.

this was my last trail in zion national park, and so far the best adventure i had here. there is no maintenance in this trail which it makes it amazing to get in contact with our inside instincts. worth every-minute of it

We did the full loop

on Weeping Rock Trail

Super easy. We went later in the evening and sat under the rock. It was like sitting on a porch on a rainy day watching the sun go down. Very peaceful

This keeps you mostly on the side of the mountain and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It is strenuous switchbacks and all up hill

Hiked this two days ago. No ice and snow, and the trail having been paved in a lot of places makes for easier hiking and can shorten the hike time. Very strenuous at the beginning but the trail gets easier when you walk through a canyon in the middle. Then you’ll have some more switchbacks to do, and finally the last 0.5-1 mile is a level walk around the rim of Zion canyon to the point. Took our group about 4 hours on the money to go up and down. And we took several breaks on the way up.

Great hike - we had 5 little ones (ages 5-7) in tow and there are some mildly hairy parts but overall the entire group loved the hike and the views!

This was a great easy first day hike and introduction to Zion. We went there in march in the late afternoon and the weather was fantastic. We also did it as a loop - took the grotto trailhead, then the kayenta trail that connects you to the emerald pools. We went to all 3 pools and the upper was the most spectacular at this time of year. We took the emerald trail back down to the lodge. I highly suggest doing this loop as the scenery on the kayenta was great and way better than just the emerald pools trail. Thank you to all who mentioned doing this loop!!!

Fun hike - only one dogs can do in the park

Such a great hike! Not too difficult, beautiful terrain, spectacular views, good for kids (maybe 7 and up). Don't miss the parking lot! If you're approaching from the west....turn right immediately out of the tunnel! It's a little difficult to turn around if you miss it and you can't get into the lot if going the other direction; you'll have to park along the narrow road. Shade is scarce so go in the morning if it's summer.

Hiked this trail as part of the Figure 8 trail (7-mile) in the Park brochure. We hiked in March so there was still plenty of ice and snow on the ground in the morning so micro-spikes were very useful entering the trail as part of the figure 8 this is a moderate. We generally hike about 2.5-miles per hour but the scenery on this trail will slow you up for the photos. Also, we encountered far fewer people on this part of the loop (figure 8).

Super easy trail. First hike we did in Zion in October 2017. Views are astounding.

I was not overwhelmed with this trail. Being the beginning of March there was no real water flow, but the canyon walls were pretty as were the few views of the park. Very very busy, and I did it in the morning. Probably wouldn’t do it again, but I am glad I can say I did it. Suitable for all ages!

Great easy trek if you are visiting Zion in the off season and still want to get a great vista without the snow climbing. Very easy hike in about half a mile with a fun bridge to cross and a jaw dropping scenery once you reach the end. It’s about a mile round trip, good easy activity.

Fun hike! Not a park maintained trail but TH is marked. No people! Quiet except for running stream.

Hike 02/25/18. Stunning views. My favorite part was hiking through the canyons. Make sure to start early enough to come down before the buses stop running. it's definitely a strenuous hike. and for those who are not acclimated to the elevation yet - do that first before doing this hike!

One of my favorite “trails” in Zion’s. Don’t get too stressed about following a path, just follow the pools and enjoy the unmaintained bliss that is “Many Pools”

This trail is so beautiful so much different terrain. Longer than a mile round trip probably 1.5 but easy!

Unbelievable hike: challenging, a little scary, but amazing at the top! I got to see the sunrise at the top and want to do this again

This was our first stop in Zion and we made a loop by hiking the Kayenta to the Grotto trail, back to the lodge. The lower pool is easy to get to and gets increasingly difficult the higher you go. The upper trail view is gorgeous and totally worth the climb!

Absolutely unbelievable views from the top.
