HikingIcy

Probably the best hike I’ve ever done in my life up till today. Took maybe 3+ hours to go up and down. First part is easy but gets steep in some parts. It was breathtaking with all that snow and the sun out! At the top you need spikes on your boots and it’s definitely not for everyone. It can get scary at some points... I wanted to take more pics but many times I needed both hands to keep going up. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

HikingGreat!

Great short trail. Loved it. Luckily got a place at the second parking lot as someone left. Went at sunset. Hike has lots of novel sections, but all are very easy to walk. The view was incredible and the photos I got were great. I’ll add one or two. There were quite a few people at the end of the trail watching sunset and a photographer and model taking a shoot. The return was almost in a group as it got dark, but was quite nice as everyone was buzzing from the views/sunset.

HikingGreat!Snow

Fantastic trail. Great work out and sights. The winter storm arrived that morning so I went early. The chain section had about an inch of snow when I arrived. Minus the slippery wet/snow this was a great time of year to do it, saw no one until the chains and only a few on the way back. Beautiful views, even if you don’t make it all the way out on the chained section.

Super easy trail! If you have a fear of heights or vertigo, I could see how this could be difficult. The first time I did this hike, I actually carried In n Out burgers to eat at the top! It gets a little tricky to maneuver around at some points but other than that, if you don’t have much time in Zion, I would 100% recommend this trail!

This is absolutely an amazing trail, not very difficult. Went during the snow and loved every scene. The aroma here is truly something too. January in Zion is too cool!

The narrows were absolutely amazing! The weather was hot so it felt so nice hiking up the river. I will be making a youtube video on my narrows hike real soon! My youtube name is Magana Ventures. But for now, I uploaded an amazing bike ride on the scenic drive from stop 9 (the narrows) down to park entrance. This is the absolute best way to see Zion! Also I uploaded a video on the paved portion of the hike! I'll leave the links below, check them out! wonderful trail, many people. this trail is not for those who don't push themselves, and you must have good traction on your shoes. bring LOTS of water and you'll do great!

HikingIcy

This hike was one of my favorite of all time hikes!!! It’s one of those hikes you are going to talk about it for the rest of your life. And let me tell you this: please don’t freak out about the hight or anything by watching these youtube videos. They make it sound so scary but come on... It was totally doable. I always thought I had a fear of hight, and while I was hiking there I didn’t even notice the hight since I was so focus on my actual hike and watching in front of me. I never felt any weird feeling in my stomach from hight or feeling any sort of fear in this trail. There is enough room there on that beautiful narrow wall when you get to the difficult part and trust me you can do it no problem. I saw kids doing it and I was like come on. I did it on the first day of Jan 2021 and it was covered with ice! That was the only tricky part but the hike itself totally doable and you will be so proud that you did it! Those chains up there are super helpful and you will be very safe with them. I mean still you have to be very sharp and careful to where to put your foot and pull yourself up with the help of chains, bc it’s more like climbing not like a regular walking hike but there is nothing that you can’t do and also you won’t even realize the hight since you are going to be so busy watching for your steps in front of you and going up! Of course don’t be drunk or high up there, bc it is a very careless move for this type of hike. It’s better to do it when it’s not icy though bc it makes it super slippery and dangerous, and I saw some people didn’t do it from the middle of the way bc of that, but like in a normal day totally great and doable to get all the way to the summit. Don’t even think about that hight everybody’s talking about that’s gonna distract your mind. Just do it!

It was cold & scary. Went on Monday 1/18/21. Not busy going up the last part, thought it would’ve been busier but it was really calm. Hiking Boots/shoes with good traction & support is needed.

HikingGreat!

Started at 6:45 AM and it wasn't crowded at all on the way up. On the way down, it was much more crowded. Great views at the top. Took around 3 hours total. Definitely would recommend gloves at this time of year for the chains. Also, if you're starting before sunrise, take a flashlight!. I guess that should be obvious, but I did the first 30 minutes in the dark. As far as COVID goes, I would say just over 50% of the people I passed on the way down were wearing masks. Even so, I wasn't too concerned because the ventilation is very good with a breeze, and whenever you are within 6ft of other people it is only for brief periods.

Amazing views and definitely challenges your perspective on heights. I arrived before sunrise on a Thursday and was able to get one of the last spaces in the Grotto parking lot. IF you use poles, be sure you can put them up once you get to the chains; you wont be able to use them the rest of way. It gets crowded so stay cool and patient. Stay in your 3 foot world and have fun!
