There has been a report for “probable chance of flooding” in Zion this week, but rangers were still issuing permits for this hike. Just be sure to start early and use GPS and/or cairns for direction! Very easy to get lost off the trail if you’re not careful. Otherwise, amazing experience at the “Subway” area. Make sure to swim to the last waterfall!

Did this after Angels Landing. Went about half mile up the River into the Narrows. The water never got much over knees. Saw Mitt Romney Hiking with family.

Being scared of Heights, i was nervous about doing this. But it was not as bad as i thought it was going to be. Go early, we caught the first shuttle there. It was not that busy yet. The hike up to where Angels Landing starts, is the most difficult.

Did this hike and added the Grotto Trail. The Upper Pool is crowded and is difficult to get pics without people in the Pool. Many People were in the Pool with no Consideration for others taking photos. I wanted pictures of the Pool, not pictures of people in the pool. Not to mention your not even suppose to be in the Pool.

Solid hike. I was able to get to the top in about 2 hours. I went early around 8am, the traffic was super light. Tons of people were coming up when I walked back down around 1030am. I’d do this and really any trails in Zion early. Trail was easy, but I hike a lot. It gets steep and has some drop offs that you would not survive if you fell, there are no rails but the trails are wide enough for two people to pass each other comfortably.

Amazing view ! Absolutely stunning. So worth it !!

Lots of uphill but doable. Stunning views. was fun to look back on Angels Landing where we had hiked the day before.

Awesome. Most inspiring, impressive, risky, spectacular view, trail I have hiked. It is only risky if you don’t take your time, do dumb things, or wear inappropriate footwear. I don’t know what I can add to the thousands of five star reviews but it is truly a memorable and taxing hike to the top. On the day I ascended I was one of the only people I saw with gray in his beard and hair! It is strenuous but worth the hike/climb. I did this with my son when he was 16 or 17 years old and it is still one of our most memorable experiences. Highly recommended, although if you have a fear of heights you may want to avoid this one. it really is safe with a chain guide on posts in all the appropriate places. But, the drop off is straight down at about 1000 feet on either side of the ridge you where you spend the most taxing time of the hike. View from the top down the valley awe inspiring! This is one you’ll want to tell everyone about.

This one scared me as it started raining towards the end. The views were gorgeous.

Great hike. Can get crowded in the summer.

Beautiful scenery and nice break from the heat since it's in a slot canyon. Trail could be better marked.

I’m wasnt a huge hiker when I did this but I loved it. Years and hikes later, this is still one of my all time favorite hikes

beautiful trail, lots of scrambling over rockfall.

Wow this was insane. I’m afraid of heights so I had a few minor panic attacks, but I’m SO thankful I did this hike. Many hikers passed me and were very encouraging. We went in July which is monsoon season and we got caught on the top by a thunderstorm. It was fun though.

Wow. This trail was amazing! We were the ONLY ones on the trail for our entire hike!! We hiked for two hours up the trail, then we hiked 2 hours back and took the river back. It was gorgeous. We stood under some waterfalls and it was refreshing on a hot day.

Trail was closed due to recent flooding. I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to hike it. We were told that parts of the trail were destroyed, so it will be a while before it reopens.

A longer hike and definitely has some less than exciting points along the way. Longer and higher but culminates with a view looking down on Angel’s Landing

Best hike I’ve done but the kids at the top really scared me

The begin is very steep but getting to the area where you hold on to chains and try to keep from slipping was very fun! Combined with observation point this trail is wonderful

We hiked this with our four kids ages 5, 6, 8, and 10 and we all loved it! Variety of terrain but totally doable. The views of the canyon were amazing! We even spotted some mountain goats. Do this hike, you won’t regret it!

Very difficult hike but great views and scenery along the way.

Amazing! One of my favorites hikes ever (along with Mist Trail in Yosemite). Really fun rock scramble type hike, and GREAT views. I was a little nervous from the pictures and descriptions, especially because the whole family (no small kids) was going and I didn't want to lose anyone, but it was not as scary once you were doing it because they have chains for you to hold on to at all the narrow parts. Everyone LOVED it! It's also not as difficult as some other famous day hikes, so if you hike regularly, you won't be too exhausted.

Absolutely phenomenal but definitely not for the faint of heart. There were a few times on the chained portion where you have few feet of space to walk with sheer cliffs on either side. Definitely try to go early in the morning because 1. the heat gets up there later in the day and 2. the sheer amount of people is insane around the early afternoon.

My group began at around 8am and finished at 1:30pm but we took our time at the peak. We were there around memorial day and there were far too many people on the climbing portion at a time. They definitely need extra rangers there before something goes awry. Bring good climbing shoes and take deep breaths during your climb, the view at the top is so worth it!

Can’t beat the views or the experience! You can make this as long a hike as you want. We went through the narrows and stopped and had lunch on the banks. Definitely rent the boots, socks, and walking stick. Saw a lot of people take an unexpected plunge! It’s a must do (if weather permits) at Zion!

Great hike! Definitely rent the special water hiking boots they rent around town because they somehow, magically, keep you very secure on the wet rocks. It's like they have suction cups on the bottom or something, though I don't think that's the secret. They also keep your feet warm in the very cold water. This hike is as hard as you want it to be, and we hiked much farther than 2 miles. I think it's 16 if you go from the top down, which I would love to try some day. Fewer people that way, I'm sure, though I never mind sharing my hike with other people.

Truly an amazing experience

Fantastic hike! Our Kids ages 6-12 did awesome and loved every minute of it. The water felt great and very refreshing. Started fairly early, not many hikers. Coming out there were a lot of hikers getting started. Definitely go early! Made it to the second ladder. (Approx. 3.82 miles round trip to second ladder, completed in about 2 hrs 45 min.) 2nd Ladder rungs are falling off and is only safe for agile adults. Easier to go up than down. Kids cruised up the first ladder just fine. Beautiful hike! A must do for everyone of all ages. Will definitely come back again.

Exactly what a true thrill seeker should be doing for a hike! Strenuous with an awe inspiring payoff. Bring lots of water, preferably a hydration bladder with at least 2L in it and get ready to work!

Thought I’d only get to see places like this in heaven.

This train is hot but there is a great place to cool off at the top AND when you get done, get in the water! The Virgin River is relatively warm and shallow and a great way to end the hike.
