a fence closes off the trail by the river.

1/10/17 great scenary for sunset. quick and easy. parking can be limited. would recommend due to ice on other trails at Zion.

I did this hike in late September. It is a really neat hike through a slot canyon w two waterfalls. This was one of the top three hikes I did in Zion. This hike is definitely worth the time to do. Your feet and legs will get wet. You are hiking in and out if water the entire way, mostly ankle to lower calf deep. A few spots were mid thigh deep. Water is pretty cold, but your in and out of it so it isn’t as noticeable as the Narrows. The ladders at the waterfalls are a bit challenging, but we made it safely. The second ladder is not safe to climb. We stopped at that point. This hike is through a true slot canyon. The scenery is some of the best in Zion. I think. There was a cost of about $8 if I recall correctly. But it was definitely worth the $8 cost. Would definitely do again. The hike is not for little kids though.

Unbelievable view when you get to the top. Main parking lot is hopeless, try going a bit ahead of tunnel to grab a roadside spot. The rocks may get slippery after rain/ snow. Very easy hike leading to an amazing end!

Nice and short trail, with spectacular views at the end. There are a couple dropoffs on the side of the trail, so be careful with your footing in a few places. There are 10 parking spots right at the end of the tunnel (if you're coming from the park), with some overflow parking further up the road. I'd recommend getting here early - we ran into a bit of a traffic jam when we were descending through some of the more narrow passageways.

Breathtaking scenery and views! An excellent choice for a beginners hike, short and easy. Quite crowded on a cold December day but fun :)

A nice winter hike. Petrified wood embedded in the wash at the dry fall is pretty cool.

Did it in the winter. Very cool, bring traction.

great for tourons.

Did this on the 24th of December. Second time this year I've done this hike. One of my favorite hikes. Water is about 40' this time of year so be prepared for cold feet. Not a good time of year to go to the second waterfall unless you have a wet suit. Beautiful

Completed this on 12/23/18. Fun rock scramble, waterfall easily accessible and actively flowing at a good rate at the end with gorgeous views looking up at the sheer rock faces.

Short trail up to the weeping cliffs. Easy, but narrow walk way with steep drop offs. Be mind full with kids & elders.

Fun, short hike with fantastic views! There's are quite a few dropoffs on the side of trail, so just be cautious with young children and those with a fear of heights. We saw more than one adult freaking out a bit about dropoffs.

Not long, but lots of fun climbing over boulders and watching the steep mountain sides change color in the late afternoon light. Couldn't see the waterfall, but who cares--was an enjoyable hour plus just looking around. I'm sure it's busy in the season, but this Dec day, we had it to ourselves.

Very short hike with a great view relative to the effort of the hike. Limited parking and was fairly busy in middle of the day.

used Marvin's suggestion. started at Court of the Patriarchs. Just after the footbridge went left (arrow suggests right) onto the narrower path, which as Marvin describes goes along a small stream. crossed once and met up with Sand Bench where it crosses. We didn't go left to the loop, but right up to where the horse fences are. then right to see the breathtaking view and down. short, but sweet.

Hold on to the chain!

Awesome short hike in Zion. View of Zion Canyon was nice. Took less than 30 minutes to reach the overlook. Not ADA accessible though. Limited parking. There are overflow parking down the road. You can also park alongside the Hwy that permits.

Begin by crossing the Virgin River using the foot bridge on the other side of the road from the Zion Lodge. The trail will be lined with cactus and cottonwoods as you parallel the river for most of the hike... al under the stunning red pock walls of the canyon.

app said it was 4.4 miles, when we hiked it and recorded it. it was 5.2 miles.

This area has smaller parking than other trail heads. Short and steep but overall it took us around 30min in and out. We went Dec 13th and the trail was wet, not many people.

This trail is a moderate to gradual climb up many levels of large outcropping rocks . After a rainy day the water is beautiful but it will be a bit muddy...

Fun and easy hike while connecting into hidden canyon. Made a nice day combining scrambling, hiking, scenic views and some off-trail adventures if combine these two hikes.

This hike is awesome - very easy to follow and very little elevation gain with amazing views. However it was really crowded just before sunset on a cold December day, so I bet it’s crazy on a nice summer day. The views are amazing though!

Nice short trail with great overlook of Zion. Was very busy trail even in mid November. Also limited parking but there is some alongside the road, but this was also nearly full up.

Very cool to see. crowded but worth it.
