The lake is more like a pond but still pretty. The 90 degree angled granite in the background is what will take your breath away though.

amazing view. you can see upper and lower falls and also half dome.

Such a beautiful snowy day for a wonderful trail

stunning in the winter!

started my hike at Yosemite village, went to half dome village, then on to mirror lake, absolutely beautiful there, from there I went to the ahwanee hotel where I ate my lunch on the back lawn and felt like a king.after lunch I set off for Yosemite falls, then walked through cooks meadow to sentinel bridge.came in February in hopes of seeing horsetail falls at sunset but alas we're back in a drought year and there just haven't been enough precipitation, but I'm not disappointed, after all I'm in Yosemite it's beautiful here and no crowds!

easy going trail with good views!

Just a short walk to the trailhead from Upper Pines Campground, which is where we camped. It was an easy hike, and we enjoyed the beautiful views of Half Dome. We were surprised to find the water level at Mirror Lake was pretty low at this time of year, but a nice walk nonetheless.

Beautiful hike, lots of amazing views. Saw two doe mule deer yesterday. Went around in a clockwise direction, this brings you by the interpretive section at the beginning of the hike.

Not an easy trail.
Even if your in the middle of the worst drought in twenty years bring your rain gear!
The camp site was great and there were lots of places to have a safe fire when I went.
The tail starts off easy, but got progressively more difficult the farther I continued. I was with a big group and there were plenty of areas for everyone to explore and have an amazing time.
The way out was a lot easier than the way in.
You can meet a lot of really fun and interesting people who love the outdoors as much as you do.

This is a good 2 maybe more miles past inspiration point went in February little bit of snow but totally manageable made it to the very top very strenuous but the trees and little creeks along the way were gorgeous! We we're all alone on this hike which was amazing definitely was my favorite hike in Yosemite! A must go!

Magnificent view!

Beautiful easy hike.

All good when you first start out and the top of North Dome was stunning. Coming back was kind of tough on the knees. I was sore for days after but worth it.

did this last summer great trail,I would rate it as moderate bring lots of water great way to beat the crowds of summer and when the falls in Yosemite valley are at a trickle these are still gushing beutiful scenery

Went beyond inspiration point and enjoyed the solitude and killer views of el cap half dome and the valley!
Lots of elevation but totally awesome

A nice hike best in the spring. I went the first week of April and all of the waterfalls were amazing! It was also fun to go over the stream from a waterfall to get to the trail at the beginning. The area by the lake can get a little crowded.

Easy, flat, non technical hike, has some good views of half dome.
The water level in the "lake" are almost non existent late December 2017

Pleasant hike. We encountered a calm snacking buck and an alarmed black squirrel. Water levels are dreadfully low right now but it's beautiful nonetheless.

This is a fun and easy hike that will give you great views of the surrounding granite cliffs. It’s an excellent place to have a picnic with the family.

Great trail that has some built in stairs done by Cal. Conservation Corps. Be careful for lose rocks in certain areas.

Still no snow or ice as of 1/2/2018

I took my 2.5 year old on this trail. It was very easy and she walked the whole way there and most of the way back. We started at half dome village. It was very crowded, but we went the day before new years eve so yosemite was packed. The "lake"(I would call it a large pond) was exceedingly beautiful and worth every step it took to get there. I highly recommend.

Long hike. Beautiful view. Get real hiking booots when you are doing this end of December— took me extra time because my girlfriend kept slipping. Great views with nobody around. The journey itself was full of trees so it can get boring.

did this early December, beautiful!

The trail and views were spectacular! The trail starts out mostly uphill but then after the turn to go to the falls (less than a mile in) it’s pretty flat. There are lots of rocks to navigate, but we still did it in about 2.5 hours at a steady pace and stopping to eat lunch by the falls. We just went today, 12-19-17, and it was perfect! Fortunately, we got it in before the snow! Can’t wait to do it again but I will only go on cooler days as there is not much shade.

By far the greatest hike my girlfriend and I have ever been on. We went on the last weekend that the Tioga Pass was open, no one was on the trailhead. We too the lower lake route. The first mile is the hardest, gaining elevation really fast. We took a few breaks when needed. The rest was fine. I recommend going the end of October/start of November if you want the best view. There was some snow from a recent rain, rivers & waterfalls frozen. I plan on doing this hike again next year.

easy to moderate, Wapama falls was awesome.

great views, easy hike .

Good day hike. We did it with some snow on the trail, which made it a little more challenging.

Fun, easy trail with minimal elevation gain but it’s fairly crowded. Not a trail to get away from others
