This was a fun little hike with nice views of touloumne meadows. Pretty easy to get to the top of I’m being honest. Pretty fun but of course exposed/no shade.

This hike was surprisingly beautiful and away from the crowds. We went to watch the sunset & star gaze. There were a handful of people there, but we were alone not long after the sun started going down. Not a very difficult hike for someone in average shape. Very short & not too much of an uphill climb. Definitely suggest passing the general parking area for the trail and continuing down the road just a bit until you get to a service road on the left hand side. There is a small parking area directly across the street. You can hike this service road right up to the trail which will cut a good portion of the distance off of your hike:-) The 360 degree view of Yosemite is well worth it! Just stunning!

Wonderful gentle stroll with plenty of side paths to take for bouldering. Easy path to take for people who aren't certain they want to venture out too much. Nice start to the day for people who have bigger plans.

Great little walk for an amazing view of Half Dome and the valley floor.

Great little hike! Pretty leisurely most of the way, the last little stretch is more difficult because it gets really steep but that only lasts a couple minutes while you get to the summit.

Great hike, Sequoias are amazing!

Great views. It’s a great trail of you are a little short on time. It’s not as crowded as the trails from the valley floor.

An amazing hike that’s fairly simple with lots of water. I hiked it about 5 years ago as there was a heat wave. Be prepared for all kinds of weather. It was worth it though!

Amazing views!

Awesome trees...
And trail. Hiked this one long before Alltrails existed.

Easy hike but beware of a bear that has been seen around the area after you turn right at the sight of sentinel dome.

Very easy paved trail, done several years ago! Very very crowded. Not the way I like to enjoy nature but is great for all skill levels and the falls are pretty. Just felt very much like a "tourist attraction".

Enjoyable hike. Easy scramble up the dome and down the backside towards the river. Trail that skirts the eastern edge of the dome is easy to pick up and follow back to the road. Beautiful views of Unicorn Peak, the Cockscomb, and Echo Peaks and ridge.

An easy Yosemite hike

Our first warm up hike last week in Yosemite. Seeing any Giant Sequoia is worth the hike. Paved road as a trail. Only a hand full of giant Sequoias. If you like this hike you’ll love Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia.

Did this short trek a week ago and was one of the most amazing places I’ve ever seen or experienced. The largest Giant Sequoia (giant Grizzly) is thought to be 1,900 to 2,000 years old. A must do when in Yosemite!

Easy hike with my family. My 8 and 9 year old boys did great! Hiked right up without having to take any breaks, other than to snap a few pictures. Beautiful views from up top. Well worth it!

Great hike among trees over 2000 years old. The fire marks are for the Sequoias’ benefit as they thrive in normal fire cycles of about 20 years and their bark offers fire resistance. Last controlled burn was in 2000.

Walked here in 6/29/18. Disappointed to find that the lake had evaporated to grasses and streams. This is a seasonal lake, so you have to get there early spring to see it’s full reflective beauty.

2.2 mile hike round trip. Minimal effort with amazing views. If you have time, do Taft’s Point trail too. It’s only 2.2 round trip too from same trail head starting point.

Amazing views. Well worth it. Both of my parents made it up no problem - I ran ahead... literally ran. It took me 18 mins to run. Took them about 40 minutes to get up. WELL WORTH IT!! On the way down I did run into a very large black bear (looked like a grizzly but someone corrected me that there aren’t any grizzly in Yosemite...). Bring a whistle or be loud. All worked out and was a great hike!!

How did this trail got 4 stars? Only a few sequoias and only one rather large one. Not worth your time.

No way is this a moderate trail. It’s an easy trail. I walked up there with my family and brother who had a 4 month old strapped to his chest and my 2 1/2 year old nephew. My nephew only needed a little assistance through 2 or 3 tricky areas but over all he walked the whole thing by him self. At the top there is outstanding views. I would recommend to anyone looking for an easy hike with an outcome of amazing views

Went in late Aug, but there wasn’t much water left in the lake. Can’t see the reflection of mountain in a sunny day. Pity. The trail was in great condition with quite a few ppl. Still a enjoyable easy hike.

The amazing thing about this area is that so many of the trails connect! I will most definitely be back and do more hiking, but this time around, Yosemite was just a half-day stop. And if you’re doing the same thing, get here early and head to this spot! I’m currently on a huge road trip and this may have been the most amazing sight my eyes have ever seen. Simply spectacular. Additionally, another cool thing is that there is great phone connection so I was able to facetime and share the view with some of my friends and family back home. All that to say, I’d HIGHLY recommend this lookout point of the valley, whether you’re just stopping by the park for a few hours, or hiking some of the trails around it!

Short and easy Hike.... the reward...? incredible 360 degrees view!

We walked the Grizzly Giant Loop, and added a 2 mile roundtrip pit stop to see the Faithful Couple. The new boardwalk with informational panels at the beginning of the trail are wonderful. Also appreciate the shuttle service from the large parking lot to the trailheads. Very easy, well shaded, very little height gain.
