We had glorious sunshine all day which obviously helped but we would have enjoyed this walk in any weather. We parked along the road in front of the magnificent Ribbledale Viaduct. From there the trail is easy to follow, and the views at the top were superb, with perfect spots for eating lunch. The descent is slightly trickier and then a bit of a walk across farms to finish but with good views of the viaduct. Great walk!

Moderate in terms of difficulty. We started at Malham Cove and tackled the most difficult part of the trail at the start. There are a fair number of stairs at Malham Cove and need to be careful on the rock formations at the top. Some really beautiful views of the Dales. Altogether, a pleasant walk. By the way, it's closer to 9 km... Can imagine Malham Cove super busy in the summer, but the rest of the trail is just as beautiful and way less crowded.

Beautiful walk, quite easy I would say. Janets foss is just beautiful (went on a Tuesday morning wasn’t too busy) there is a car park but it’s £5 all day or you could just park on the road like everyone else for free ..

Beautiful walk. Quite easy but loved the wild garlic and waterfall (although it was busy on a Sunday afternoon)

Gorgeous part of Yorkshire. The trail was easier than I expected to be honest. But if you want a quiet trail.. definitely don’t go on a weekend. I was there 9am on a Saturday and it was rammed

Did the walk the opposite way to the norm. much more challenging but was able to enjoy the views for much longer coming back down.

This was a wonderful trail with many beautiful views.Care is needed when walking along the top of the cove and the view is spectacular. The only thing that was not great was the weather, which could not make up its mind.A trail I would recommend. Also the waterfall was lovely to see.

How can you not love this walk. It’s an easy one. Only real uphill is to the cove and that’s okay. Great with kids. Extra parking now available to opposite the national trust car park £5 cash all day parking. We scrambled up the waterfall a bit so this was more like 8.7km. Gets busy in summer but today it was lovely

Absolutely loved this trail! Gordale scar is unreal! I will be doing this many more times in the future. Just be careful climbing up the waterfall at gordale scar.

Climbing the cove was moderately hard. Janets Foss was worth the visit! You can smell wild garlic the moment you reach the bottom

Nice walk, couple of steep bits but path is well maintained so easy enough in dry weather. There is a carpark at the start of the trail - its free and there is a reasonable amount of space. We arrived at 8.30 on a Saturday and had no trouble finding a space but it was completely full when we got back so would advise getting there early.

Coves, hills, streams, trees, wildlife and waterfalls. Oh and nice little ice cream van at the bottom. What more could you want? Ideal for kids.

Cracking walk but accidentally ended up doing it backwards which meant a decent down the waterfall . Although a little hairy we managed it with a large crowd at the bottom watching.. Amazing views and lovely scenery well worth it..

Stunning walk with amazing sights to see, the forest area through to the waterfall was really magical and all the wild garlic is starting to grow. Didn't attempt the scramble but did walk that way, the pictures don't do it justice. Breath taking views once you reach the limescale path however take note that it's not as simple as it looks, some of smaller the formations move beneath you with wide cracks so was terrifying at times but other people seemed to do it with ease. Having someone with you to help you across may be useful if you're not confidant with your footing. Steps coming down are very steep with no railing. The cove at the end was really pretty too. One of the best walks i've done, so would deffo recommend.
