Real cool spot to check out some hot springs

Breathtaking. Never seen anything so naturally beautiful but DOES NOT HAVE A BATHROOM! Haha only complaint I have. Haha

Interesting but other spots in Yellowstone are nicer.

This was an easy hike to begin a three day back country adventure for us. By accident, we timed it perfectly to arrive right before the geyser erupted, and it was beautiful. We didn’t bother with old faithful and from everything we heard, this was better anyway. I was certainly wowed by this experience! Our back country hike ended through this trail as well, so it was a great “almost home” marker for me, too

This trail was worth it! I recorded one mile of total hiking, and that took about forty five minutes. This trail is very steep and is switchbacks the whole way, so I highly recommend wearing sturdy athletic or hiking shoes. The trail is pretty broad; it can handle two way traffic. And the falls are so gorgeous. The sound of the water rushing off of the falls is so soothing. You can take breathtaking pictures. You can also see the Upper Falls, although not as well. Definitely an awesome adventure!

So many switch backs but a great little walk to see the waterfall.

Hiked this trail to the overlook. Wow! it's a gorgeous view. I'd call it a moderate hike. We are seniors in our 60's, and felt like it gave us a little challenge. We packed our lunch and sat at the overlook eating on a beautiful fall afternoon. The only disappointment we had was the lack of wildlife. Even from the overlook, we could see no wildlife. But, that's the way it's been the entire trip. Where are all the animals? Wolves taking care of them?

This is an easy boardwalk that offers lovely views. However, to really enjoy the Grand Prismatic Spring I’d suggest taking the overlook trail.

This is an awesome little trail to get a sample of a lot of the wonders of Yellowstone. There are some sections with stairs, which, during our October visit, were caked in ice and really tricky to manage for children. Worth it though!

Great views and a fairly short, very pretty hike. Kid-friendly. We were cautioned to watch for bears, as some frequent the area.

Such a pretty magical place. Absolute must if you go to Yellowstone.

Loved this hike! To the falls is a easy hike. We decided to do the loop after we got to the falls and saw how amazing it was. We went to the falls first and I want to think going to the falls first is the best route. But when we came down the other side it looked more gradual and had switchbacks. Our favorite hike in the park that we done this weekend.

lots of steps

A nice short walk.

Very pretty and worth the steep climb back up. It’s switchback trail that depends 600 feet.

My wife and I did the loop yesterday. I used a website I found that shows the last time Old Faithful and the Grand erupted and an estimate for next eruption. We watched Old Faithful erupt twice; once from right beside it and once from the observation trail. The observation trail is much better vantage point. after that, we began walking the trail. I knew Grand was supposed to erupt sometime between 1 pm and 3 pm with my best estimate at 2 pm. We were approaching the Grand at 155 pm and it started to erupt!!!! I was like a little kid, partially because I lucked out on my estimate to be there and partially because the eruption was utterly amazing...much better than Old Faithful and longer. The crowd was amazed as well. The loop is a nice relaxing walk that just about anyone can do.

More geysers. All unique

Such diversity in one park continues to inspire. The paintpots are beautiful and very entertaining to watch.

I personally enjoyed the beautiful pools of West Thumb even more than the Grand Prismatic area. It features beautiful views of Yellowstone Lake, and the pool depths and colors are other-worldly. The trail offers a brochure that talks about each feature that can either be returned or they ask for a dollar donation.

Go at sunset to get a great view of Grand Prismatic and alpenglow covered mountains. The new overlook trail is a steep but short hike.

Amazing view but very hard to enjoy with the crowd. Lots of rude foreigners with no consideration of others at all. Glad to see it from that vantage point once but will never do it again because of the crowd.

Awesome trail with some climbing required. We added the overlook to the trail with awesome views of the basin which made the whole trip 3.4miles. Falls were stunning.

A bit disappointed given it’s essentially a biking trail and flat all the way. They are supposed to note on the trail head when the last eruption of the geyser was. None had been recorded for the day. We arrived an hour too late and when we got there would have had to wait for another 2 hours. More information from the park rangers would have been useful.

great view.

nice walk along the lake. can be quiet windy but beautiful with the pools.

This was great hike. We timed it perfectly so that we only had to wait about 20 minutes for eruption. This hike was well worth the planning and the geyser was far superior to Old Faithful.

dragon's mouth spring was the neatest feature here. the mud pots at artists paint pots are cuter, lol.

stick to the lower falls
