We did the loop to include observation point.
Great views from the top and we spent a long time just enjoying the outlook area. We climbed down to the falls which were nice. We went down river from the falls and soaked our feet in the river while we enjoyed the morning sun. A nice hike but can get steep at times. The trail is not well maintained on the observation climb with loose gravel and some slippery spots this should be a moderate level hike.
Overall a nice hike with falls and views

Falls were okay. We started at bike trail from fountain flat drive making it just under 10 miles. Bike trail open and mostly flat only one set of bikers passed us on our hike. Saw some bison off in the distance and one elk. Bike trail offered great prairie views and was gravel with some old broken pavement spots. From bike rack into falls was poorly maintained trail with some trash along the way. Heavy traffic and typical tourist racing to reach distinction, snap their selfie and push they way back out. If you can time it right the falls are nice but if your traveling with younger children skip the extra miles of the adding the bike trail.

First time hiking this trail and it did not disappoint. The first leg is a nice pace and we saw a bear not too far off the trail which was really cool to watch. Cooled off in the water up top and along the way which was very refreshing. Certainly recommend this trail

Very easy hike. Flat ground, very few rocks. Did the overlook, then the walk to the falls. Came across very few people, maybe 10 small groups, even in the busy month of July.

This was my first time to Grand Teton and I wasn't sure which trail to hike. I was originally looking for a moderate to hard trail but ended up on the Jenny Lake Trail...and LOVED it. You get to see some amazing scenery and the trail is fun at all times.

So many mud pots. It's my first time to see the boiling mud. Very cute.

Actually I don't think this fall is as good as many other falls in Yellowstone, while the trail is very short and won't consume many time.

A interesting place. Different from other places in Yellowstone. One of my favorite.

Very amazing! Come early to avoid too many people. When I went there, there is so much fog that I cannot see my friend near me. Interesting!

The fall is beautiful. Be sure to walk to the end of the trail to obtain a good visual angel to see the fall.

A interesting hike. Lots of mud pots. One of the advantage of this trail is that there will not be so many visitor as other places in Yellowstone. You can get peace here.

It's a great view to see the grand prism from this trail, and it's very easy.

The grand Grand Prismatic Spring is certainly one of the most deserve to see in the Yellowstone. However, It's too large to see the whole prism besides it. I suggest to hike both this trail and the other trail going to the mountain besides the prism and see it from above.

I just walked to see the geysers under the mountain and didn't go to see the fall. I think the geysers here are even more beautiful than those in upper geysers.

A good choice to see the geysers. Lots of geysers along the trail. Remember to plan enough time for this trail. You will stay more time then you expect.

When I went there it's raining and too much fog. I think it will be better in a sunny day. Besides, I didn't see the fish cone. I think it is related to the water level in the lake.

A great hike. Nice off the beaten path Yellowstone activity. Climbed/hiked with my three daughters, ages 13, 17 and 17. It’s definitely steep in places going up (tougher grade while you’re still in the trees) but consistent walking should get you up in 2-2.5ish hours. Once you’re up, the views are amazing. Good stereotypical Rockies peak hike of woods, basin, talus/scree and summit zones. We live in NC and did this as an acclimatizing hike prior to 4 days of backpacking on the Teton Crest Trail. Worked perfectly for what we needed and my kids enjoyed it a ton. Hiked in mid-July and only crossed one easily-traversed snow field.

Super super easy walk. Beautiful hike along river. Total round trip is about 5 miles. But man what a geyser! Actually liked it better than Old Faithful. However it erupts about every 3 hours, we got there by chance 5 mins after it went off, and it lasted about 15 mins!!! Sign the guest book and if u missed it look for an entry that marked the last eruption time to help you know when the next one is.

Pretty stunning to see up close. Great views. Then onto Fort Yellowstone which was also interesting. Lots of people but it is what it is. Ran into a lot of road construction which was frustrating.

Awesome hike. Not too difficult or steep, even at the height of the mountain. It is a long hike for sure, but the 360° view at the top makes it completely worth it. Would do it again and highly recommend.

A walk not a hike! Expect to not go at your pace as your walking with many others. However; it leads you to the end destination of a “soak”.

We went late afternoon. Had mostly blue sky with a few clouds. The view of Grand Prismatic was spectacular! I chose to hike this late afternoon based on another review. Apparently with the cooler morning air, there can be more steam coming off the pool obscuring the view. The wind also seems to affect the steam coming off the pool, based on my observation when we were on the boardwalk at Grand Prismatic. Nevertheless, we were rewarded with a perfect view from above this day!

We did this hike with 30 high schoolers at the end of July. It was definitely a trying hike, and the incline was tough, but the views at the top can't be beat. The wildflowers were incredible as well.

This loop is beautiful! Sections of the trail provide shade but also amazing views of the lake and peaks. I started at the visitor center and went right (when facing the lake). I used this to get a 5 mile trail run in before meeting friends at the Cascade Canyon Trail close to the boat dock. The section of this trail was fairly easy with only small elevation changes. I highly recommend heading up the Cascade Canyon Trail as the views are great and we saw some wildlife.

This our first stop and exposure to thermal activity. This was cool and worth the stop but it was crowded

Sneaky hike - given the distance and elevation gain I was a little skeptical about the “hard” rating, but it lived up to it. One of those hikes which is relentless. Very nice one though, only issue early August 2018 was the smoke coming in from out of State wildfires which made for hazy visibility at distance.

Hey it’s Old Faithful!! You can’t go to Yellowstone and not see Old Faithful. Super crowded of course since visitor center and other educational bdlgs are here plus gift shop etc but now I can say I saw it

I recommend doing the overlook first and then looping back to the falls. The first half is strenuous for folks who aren’t in stellar shape. However, the views are worth it.

I loved this hike!! We did the whole loop, hiking to the overlook first. The switchbacks to the overlook are strenuous, but the views are stunning! We continued onto the beautiful falls from there. Along the entire loop we saw so many variety of wildflowers! More that 15 varieties! I was in awe! We hiked this the second week in July. This trail met all my expectations for a high Mountain View, a beautiful falls, and lovely mountain wildflowers!!
