Great views and a fairly short, very pretty hike. Kid-friendly. We were cautioned to watch for bears, as some frequent the area.

One of my all time favorite hikes! Make sure to plan accordingly for river crossings, you’ll want to be able to take of long layers/have shorts for wading. Water shoes are a must! Scout hole provides a perfect resting place before venturing back out.

Very nice and easy hike. Amazing views. One is the few still open in October.

Fun loop trail to see old faithful and connect to see other Geysers.

Trail closed :(

Such a pretty magical place. Absolute must if you go to Yellowstone.

Loved this hike! To the falls is a easy hike. We decided to do the loop after we got to the falls and saw how amazing it was. We went to the falls first and I want to think going to the falls first is the best route. But when we came down the other side it looked more gradual and had switchbacks. Our favorite hike in the park that we done this weekend.

lots of steps

Cold morning created a beautiful steam-filled, icy wonderland. Very easy walk but worth staying a few minutes at each thermal feature to listen and observe. Have to say Vixen was my favorite - nice small geyser, spurting away and then just stopped, starting up again in a minute or so. Amazing.

Trail Closed. 9/30

My husband and I hiked this Trail on September 15th, 2018 on our way in the north east entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It was beautiful, picturesque hike that was nice to loosen up our hiking legs up for more difficult hikes. There was a nice variety to the surroundings. Some thicker forest area while hiking up a hill then it opened up to a beautiful lake with valleys surrounding it. There were ducks in the lake and a few fishermen fishing.  It was a very peaceful hike.

Trail closed for bear activity. 9/26/18

Great trail with great views the whole way! Was surprised by a grizzly on the trail about 15 yrds from us as we turned a corner about halfway from the inspiration point trailhead. Ended up driving to inspirational point.

road closed middle end of September

Starts with a pleasant walk through a forest by the canyon, with a couple of nice lookout points. The trail really starts to shine 2-3 miles in once you start your descent into the canyon. Great views, lots of waterfalls and hot springs. You eventually make your way down to the river itself, before a tough hike back up to where you came from. We had a close encounter with a black bear on the way back quite close to the trailhead, so be prepared!

Great easy walk on the boardwalk to see the geysers from different vantage points

best time was at 7:30am. no crowds

This a a great hike with gorgeous views most of the way up. It took us about 1:15-30min to get to the top and that includes a few breaks for water and pictures (and about 45min to hike down). All 4 of us are decently experienced hikers and it was a bit strenuous at times, but not hard. Once at the top, there were some people up there and we decided to keep walking straight for about 5-10 more minutes to an area that had 4 stones to sit on and eat our lunch with 360 degrees of stunning views!

Very pretty and worth the steep climb back up. It’s switchback trail that depends 600 feet.

Trail was closed today . Most easy trails along south rim were closed accept artist point

Be careful on the road section. Some drivers aren’t considerate of walkers

Is quite crowded for most of it but the views are excellent.

My wife and I did the loop yesterday. I used a website I found that shows the last time Old Faithful and the Grand erupted and an estimate for next eruption. We watched Old Faithful erupt twice; once from right beside it and once from the observation trail. The observation trail is much better vantage point. after that, we began walking the trail. I knew Grand was supposed to erupt sometime between 1 pm and 3 pm with my best estimate at 2 pm. We were approaching the Grand at 155 pm and it started to erupt!!!! I was like a little kid, partially because I lucked out on my estimate to be there and partially because the eruption was utterly amazing...much better than Old Faithful and longer. The crowd was amazed as well. The loop is a nice relaxing walk that just about anyone can do.

We took the overlook trail up. The switchbacks were tough. It was not very well marked at the top. We, luckily, found our way back to the trail to the falls. Other than that the trail was well maintained. The views were incredible. The falls were spectacular. Overall a fantastic hike.
