Great hike just always crowded.

Great views and a fairly short, very pretty hike. Kid-friendly. We were cautioned to watch for bears, as some frequent the area.

Such a pretty magical place. Absolute must if you go to Yellowstone.

Quick and fun. Path well established and perfect for photo ops.

My husband and I hiked this Trail on September 15th, 2018 on our way in the north east entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It was beautiful, picturesque hike that was nice to loosen up our hiking legs up for more difficult hikes. There was a nice variety to the surroundings. Some thicker forest area while hiking up a hill then it opened up to a beautiful lake with valleys surrounding it. There were ducks in the lake and a few fishermen fishing.  It was a very peaceful hike.

Trail closed, bear activity. 9/26/18

Trail was closed today . Most easy trails along south rim were closed accept artist point

easy hike but not flowing well in middle of September

Be careful on the road section. Some drivers aren’t considerate of walkers

Trail is open. Fantastic views. 8 year old daughter did very well. Pointe Sublime is a bit disappointing after the views along the trail but still more than enjoyable.

The geysers and pools are pure magic. Castle Geyser was definitely a favorite.

Go at sunset to get a great view of Grand Prismatic and alpenglow covered mountains. The new overlook trail is a steep but short hike.

Amazing view but very hard to enjoy with the crowd. Lots of rude foreigners with no consideration of others at all. Glad to see it from that vantage point once but will never do it again because of the crowd.

Awesome trail with a little bit of everything. No complaints on this one at all. Its got meadow parts, dense forest parts, beach parts, etc. On the way out we had a big Bison bull eating just off the trail which was cool to see. Lots of Grizzlies in this area so be smart.

Easy hike to beautiful lake

This is a marvelous little ramble! So relaxing and refreshing. Not strenuous in the least. A great walk for children. Beautiful vistas of the lake from the point. Sunny portions with a marmot colony in a rocky outcropping. Shady portions in the beautiful lodgepole forest. A small footbridge over a tiny, marshy brook was washed out but easily bypassed.

Awesome view.

Mammoth Hot Springs are definitely interesting and worth a look; the low rating is largely driven by the absurdity of including the upper terrace as a "trail" when it is nothing but a road just wide enough for cars. Do NOT hike the upper terrace; if you wish to see those features, do that loop by car as the Parks Service clearly intends. The lower terrace has a series of pedestrian boardwalks and stairs that facilitate an interesting walkabout to view the beautiful travertine formations around the hot springs. There are a couple of placards describing the basic process by which these types of features formed, but there is almost no information provided as to what explains their various names and histories. Bottom line: this is an easy stop that is a worthwhile roadside attraction but is not a "trail" or a "hike" per se, and All Trails should know better than to mark a narrow car-only road (upper terrace) as a "trail."

Easy quick hike, says it’s a mile but really 3/4 of a mile. Bridge was rotting with several areas broken thru boardwalk . These broken areas clearly visible when walking on the boardwalk. As with many trials in Yellowstone it is not well maintained. We saw a small herd of elk eating down by the creek. Short and sweet, good for all levels. There are some stairs to the falls but there is a hand rail and this area appears to be in good repair.

A interesting place. Different from other places in Yellowstone. One of my favorite.

It's a great view to see the grand prism from this trail, and it's very easy.

A good choice to see the geysers. Lots of geysers along the trail. Remember to plan enough time for this trail. You will stay more time then you expect.

Our favorite Yellowstone hike. Meadow, lake, beach, and forest. Kids traversed down to the beach and enjoyed time by the lake. Saw a yellow belly marmot and a coyote on the hike. The bridge is still out but you can go 20 feet down the creek and early cross to complete the loop.

Pretty stunning to see up close. Great views. Then onto Fort Yellowstone which was also interesting. Lots of people but it is what it is. Ran into a lot of road construction which was frustrating.
