One of the best payoffs for such a short hike. It is really steep but worth every step!

Remember, despite what the last review says there are no grizzlies in the Bridgers! Lots of black bears (sometimes brown in color) but no grizzlies.

Great sight and if right on time gets you to peak in a fair amount of time

Did both north and south rim. Did this after hike on Mt washborn in the morning and was a fantastic day moderate rating may be fair but also
Points a bit to the easier side in spots. Fun and most anyone can enjoy this

It takes effort and determination. But is certainly worth it. Do not try if you haven’t trained. But if you are in moderate condition take your time and go for it. Amazing

An absolute must do trail

Beautiful. And is closer to easy than moderate. Plenty of change but plenty flat

Yes, Yellowstone is incredibly busy and there will be people everywhere at the geyser basin trails, but in my opinion, it is totally worth dealing with the crowds. The Grand Prismatic is an absolutely beautiful geological wonder. The boardwalk is cool but the overlook is even better in my opinion.

I have done this Mystic Falls loop three different times of the summer. Mid-to-late June is the best b/c the snow melt is awesome; the water is roaring; and there are small waterfalls that are very nice that are gone by mid-July and thereafter. Every time I go back to YNP, this hike is a Must. A repeat.

Hiked this a long time ago, in August 2000. I had to stop to rest a little after the switchbacks, but the view of the Bridger Range and Bozeman in the distance was so so beautiful and worth every drop of sweat. Saw Rocky Mountain Goats at the summit, just below me. Grizzly ran in front of my car as I was leaving the parking area.

We got to the trailhead around sunrise, which I recommend, as we were the first ones to summit but passed many people on the way down. With a good push this hike is very rewarding and worth the effort. We saw mule deer and Pika at the top.

Do this hike!! Everyone goes to the boardwalk but this beats the boardwalk all day, definitely worth your time!

On 24 Nov road conditions to access trailhead were treacherous with snow & ice. Even with four wheel drive we turned around after 2 miles. I did the hike in August and it's fantastic - highly recommend. But this time of year access is difficult.

First off, I’m going to start by saying that the way to Sacajawea Peak also leads you to Fairy Lake. So you can see and do both, or you could even combine the two trails into one super long one.

Second, this trail is super fun! But let me just put this out there, I’m super fit, going hiking often, and boy!! It was some work to get up to the top. I have a bad right knee, and was really feeling it once I was almost to the top, as the trail is super steep.

Thirdly, I would definitely recommend this to anyone if you love hiking! The views are amazing!

Make sure to do the entire loop. If you start low, keep going up and up and up after you pass the falls. It’s a peaceful hike and chances are you won’t encounter many others. The view at the top is great.

This hike was the highlight of our Yellowstone trip primarily because we ended up walking 10 miles round trip and did not see a soul (except about 10 deer). Be careful on the last 1.5 miles as the trail isn’t maintained like the heavily trafficked trails and if you twist your ankle you’ll be down there a long time lol!

Easy hike. Great, wide trail. Nice views. Budget time for at the top; you will want to put the lookout center at the top to good use.

Windy and wonderful

10 years since my last trip to Bozeman, MT. This trail is just as I remember. Excellent climb with the chance to see some goats (summer). I would highly recommend.

Short lung-busting hike. The trees feel endless, but then they end quite suddenly and the views are amazing on the final approach. Push over to the rounded summit, that’s where the park boundary is.

We started the trail from Wapiti Lake Trail head since the parking lot and part of the trail near Henry’s Trail is closed for renovations. It’s was an easy hike to Clear Lake which was stunningly beautiful, definitely worth seeing. You can continue to Lilly Pad Lake and or Ribbon Lake but the scenery wasn’t as nice past Clear Lake. We ended up turning around before Lilly Pad Lake.

Little aggressive with the snow but amazing view from the top

Awesome hike with amazing views. My favorite hike of Yellowstone. Wildlife is abundant as well!

Great hike, great views all the way to the top where Artist Point is. There were even artists painting up at the top. Our original plan was to take the Canyon Rim North Trail to Inspiration Point but that trail was closed. This trail had the opposite point of view from inspiration point, you could see inspiration point on the other side! Very happy we chose to do this hike since we couldn’t do the other. Don’t miss out on this hike! Highly recommended.

This was our favorite hike in Yellowstone. Uphill on the way up and downhill on the way back. Not hard though, it’s moderate. It is only a bit of of a challenge if you’re not experienced with high altitude hiking (I have lived in Florida my whole life) but you can take small breaks to catch your breath and take some pictures! The views start out great and get even better as you start hiking up. It was so windy at the top that our hats almost flew off but the view from the top was amazing. Going up into the viewing room and signing the log book with our names was such a cool experience. I would do this hike all the time if I could! Highly recommended.

A good change of pace from the geyser basin boardwalk trails. No crowds and a surprisingly nice waterfall to view. We hiked to this from the Old Faithful Lodge so it was a little longer than the stated 3.4 miles.

Amazing trail, unfortunately it's very popular and lots of traffic but we have been able to see mountain goats each time, up close and personal as well. worth the difficulty!

Stunning views on top of the whole Yellowstone park and you can even see the Tetons. Short by many standards but hard and steep. A great summit for a first timer? But be mindful of bears!!

Very beautiful

An easy hike but one of the more enjoyable ones that we did on our trip. Gives you the feeling of being out of the way without having to go too far out into the back country. We ran into a few other groups but everyone was very considerate. Bring a camera and enjoy the falls!
