It was so fun and pretty. Had an awesome time and definitely recommend

The sights make this a 5 Star. The path is very easy crowded typically and I doesn’t take too much effort normally is not rate as a 5 Star due to those limits but the thermo sights are special

Pretty but gets crowded

Beautiful easy hike underwater thermo features pretty not super crowded when I was there. Avoid times of due north or me wind

Just do it. It's beautiful, easy and underwater geysers are just plain cool. Plus---the Colors!

Like much of Yellowstone it feels like another planet, simply amazing.

Short low-traffic trail to the closest head-on view of stunning lower Yellowstone Falls. We appreciated having the entire trail to ourselves.

Such an interesting hike with lots of geological features!!

Interesting but a bit too smelly. Nice information if
You have a guide who is passionate about the area.
I enjoyed it with Wildland Trekking.

We decided just to hike to the lake and then back. .4 miles there which was pretty much all up hill but worth it! We spent an hour at the lake. So peaceful & quiet. A little bit of snow on the ground but doable with just hiking boots.

Wonderful sights!

Just so cool. Amazing sights.

Fascinating sights!

Unbelievable sights. Very beautiful view of Yellowstone Lake.

Very easy...cool geysers and springs. Great colors and my kids loved it!

We drove to the Great Fountain Geyser on Firehole Lake Drive, which had just finished erupting and was spewing some steam and water about 20 feet as it finished its cycle. We spoke with a geyser expert, as she was knitting while timing the eruption and taking notes, one of several geyser watchers we saw on our journey. She had the Washington license plate “GEYSER." We also saw White Dome and Pink Dome Geysers along Firehole Lake Drive and drove through a seeping hydrothermal area surrounding Firehole Lake that looked pretty treacherous. The one-way drive came out at the Fountain Paint Pots of the Lower Geyser Basin. Don't miss this drive.

Good family friendly hike

2 different thermal features which are very unique on their own.

Unique geothermal activity by the side of the lake gives it a different appeal.

Part of the Lower Geyser Basin, Fountain Paint Pots across from Firehole Lake Drive offers a variety of geothermal features and is worth the visit.

Short mud pot trail, there are much better areas to view geothermal activities. 3.8 miles/6 km south of Norris Junction, the lower portion of this colorful hydrothermal area is wheelchair-accessible. The upper trail to the mudpots is steep and rough, and not recommended for visitors using wheelchairs. Fountain Paintpots is a better viewing area.

Saw Elk at this interesting group of hot springs adjacent to the Yellowstone Lake

Nice, easy 1 mile trail to Harlequin Lake. Very woodsy. We didn’t see any wildlife but be careful of bears.

The short walk was make all the more interesting with the 4 inches of snow cover...giving the area a 'rather steamy' fog like look as you walked. Interesting area to explore.

Fairly easy walk to a nice overview with a great look of the river and valley. Make all the more interesting with the snow falling as we walked the trail..

Nice trail, great views.

Easy and awesome view

Wonderful easy and relaxing trail. This was our first trail in Yellowstone. The short beginning part is a little steep and coming from sea level we felt a bit out of breath pretty quickly. However, the remainder of the trail is flat and circles around trout lake. The views are beautiful and you can see the reflection of the mountains in the lake easily. You can also see cut throat trout if you just look in the lake. We did this trail at the end of August 2017.

Awesome to stand right over the hot springs from the safety of a boardwalk. The water is so clear you almost can't tell its there. Then look up for the picture purfect lake!
