Easy walk. Many interesting geysers and features to see, and of course, Old Faithful. Very crowded.

Went in July, late afternoon, so it wasn't too crowded. Good views, but hard to see the array of colors in Grand Prismatic from this vantage point.

One of the most famous areas in the park so it's quite crowded at least for the first part of the loop. We did the loop after watching Old Faithful from the overlook. Not strenuous but a nice afternoon hike after a busy morning elsewhere in the park. The official app and the visitor center list estimated eruption times for several of the geysers so we managed to time seeing several going off.

Did this back in September at sunrise and the boardwalk was extremely slippery. Amazed more people don't fall off it. Initially the springs were covered in fog so we went and did the overlook hike and came back after it cleared up some. Started to get very crowded even early in the morning.

Short hike up to a great overlook of Grand Prismatic Spring. The start is along the Firehole River which was quite pretty around sunrise.

If you're short on time and only have enough to see the absolute best of Yellowstone - do not miss this! The view from this trail is far more incredible than the view from the boardwalk that takes you closer to the spring. I did this trail while traveling across the country in my converted minivan. Feel free to follow my instagram for photos of this hike and many more @myraninavan

8/2020 Stunning - so interesting! The hot air coming off of the spring felt strange with the cool wind.

Definitely not my fave. Too crowded. Grand Prismatic is better from the overlook. The other springs are beautiful, and it’s worth doing once, but I wouldn’t do it again.

It was definitely less crowded in October than it was in September. Old Faithful is going to go off every 70 minutes or so, so I would recommend prioritizing whatever other geysers will erupt during your visit. Castle and Grand geysers were both MUCH more impressive! The colors in the pools and hot springs are amazing. The little Grotto geyser was fascinating to watch, as well as the Punchbowl.

we broke off and went down to black sand basin since we had a person driving around coming to pick us up, about the same distance to the road though, great trail and can see a bit more if you go down towards black sand.

Awesome hike on snow-covered trails (with some icy / slushy spots) on the last day of the season. Fairy Falls is covered with lots of beautiful icicles; buffalos chilling in the meadows a few yards off the trail; and the Imperial Geyser is very active. Well worth the trek in the cold!

When it's very cold, all you can see is the steam coming out of it. Still very majestic though.

Lots of cool sights to see. Try to time your hike so that you can see both Old Faithful and another geyser erupt. Also, consider parking at Biscuit Basin Trailhead if you're coming from West Yellowstone, and starting the hike from there - saves time having to navigate the construction around the Old Faithful area.

Great!

The is a busy short loop, but I think it’s worth seeing Grand from here and the top to get both perspectives.
