Absolutely serene, gorgeous, and amazing. Great trail, lots to see, songbirds, and amazing water sights and sounds.

This was a great short hike, easy for all

Beautiful!

Beautiful hike. I would suggest getting there by 10 am to beat the crowds. This time of year it was dried up quite a bit so the waterfàlls don't look as powerful. Next time I will go at the very beginning of Sumner.

This is a beautiful trail that covers the Oregon gamut (minus redwood trees). There’s a beautiful moss covered forest, streams, beaver dams, a lighthouse, hobbit holes and a misty expanse of beach with driftwood and interesting features. We added the lighthouse hike to the loop and it changed it from a walk (sometimes people in flip flops carrying beach chairs) to a hike (vertical gain through starkly dry and rain forest areas). The negative here was the road noise from the 101, which runs through the middle of the hike.

The map displayed in the homestead trailhead suggests that after reaching Sweet Creek Falls one can go east and get to Beaver Creek falls. The trick is that in order to get there, one should cross the creek in Sweet Falls area and take the trail uphill. Of course, one can simply drive south and hike to Beaver Falls from the bridge.

Fun hike with 4 teenagers taking the lead. Trail starts near visitor center. Parking permit was required and could be purchased for $5 for the day. Super cool tree at the end of the trail. Reminded us of what the tree might have been like in the book "My Side of the Mountain."

This is one of our favorite trails. We have visited Sweet Creek in every season and it is beautiful every time. Fun to see the water a bit lower so we could explore on the rocks. Parking is limited so arrive before 10:30 am on the weekend.

Beautiful view, I love walking this trail. Pretty off-trail areas to explore as well. I run and push a stroller on it and it works for the most part, with a few challenging spots. Very dog friendly, even has a trash can for waste disposal.

Lovely walk along the beach.. trails diverge South end at the road and you can walk to the light house.

I added on the lighthouse trail to make it 6.6 miles. From forest to beach to vistas to the lighthouse this is worth a stop. Most don’t do the China Creek Loop and it was beautiful.

My friend and I hiked this trail today after a long day hiking Kentucky Falls and then on to the Florence for some RR! I must say that it has been years since we had visited this marvelous little wonder!! It’s funny the beauty you can miss with kids, dogs and too many people. Soooo glad we stopped on our way out!! What a great way to end our day!! It is definitely a “Must Go!!” Next time we will go out to picnic!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️

I didn't have a lot of time for a hike so I just walked from hwy 101 down to the beach and back. It was an awesome little stroll through the dark forest to the Beach. Would definitely recommend this trail.

Well maintained and great for kids. My 5 and 8 year old nephews loved it and all the waterfalls!

Short steep hike through the forest with amazing views along the way and on top! Hehe, feels so much more rewarding walking up when you see the folks that came by car

We were confused when we got to the trailhead because there was separate parking for Homestead and Sweet Creek Falls. We parked at the Sweet Creek Falls lot, which is not the complete trail that is described. It worked out great, though, because today was very busy, and when we got to the falls, there was only another small group there. We back-tracked on the trail towards the Homestead lot (three times as many people there than when we arrived 45 minutes before!) and then made our way back. Lots of small, beautiful waterfalls along the way.

It was a nice hike/walk. Lots of people on a Saturday.

Awesome trail!

The trail emptied onto the beach. Beautiful!

Combines an beautiful beach walk with an awesome coastal forest hike. Make sure you take the China Creek loop - a quiet walk through an incredible Sitka Spruce forest.

Breathtaking. A great walk.

Perfect trail run

Favorite coastal hike. Connected to another trail and ended up doing 7.5 miles. Every bit of it beautiful!

Beautiful trail! Waterfall after waterfall.

I love this hike. Its really pretty for looking at the ocean. Only thing some may not like is tourist come here frequently.

Really pretty hike. Only thing is that I assumed itd be more flat since its so straight but it goes up and down quiet a bit. It doesn't make it difficult but some may find that useful knowing.

One of my favorites and worth trying out. Only thing id say is if it's a cold, windy, and/or rainy day id skip the beach and go back the way you came. Ive also noticed when its rainy this trail doesn't get too terribly muddy. Theres only a few spots. Most pretty good.

I enjoy this going down the hill. Up hill can be kinda rough with how steep it is. Check the weather before going as mud can make it harder. I feel this trail is more uneven from rocks and roots on the ground. I dont find it an issue but some may.

This walk and beach is getting really crowded with tourists. Beautiful beach, but too many people if you’re looking for a peaceful nature walk. Please leave unfriendly dogs at home if they can’t get along with others.

I love this trail. It’s a 4.5 mile loop and it doesn’t even feel like it! The beach is a beautiful addition to the woodsy hike across the highway. There is also a separate trail to the right on the woods side, not sure where it goes as my friend and I ran into a giant daddy long leg and went back to the main trail!
