Got here around 3:30pm. Lots of snow but most of the trail is packed snow from all the people hiking up. We only made it a mile up because we didn’t want to hike back in the dark and there were a couple avalanche fields with downed trees which makes it hard to follow the trail. Probably not the best time to hike up until the trail is easier to find but if you want to go up the avalanche part you’d still get a good 2 mile hike out of it. Overall, it was a great hike and I’m definitely coming back to see the waterfall!

easy hike, big payoff. trail is packed the whole way. spikes were all that was necessary.

One of my very favorite hikes for kids. Shaded and short, also the area right by the waterfall is shallow enough that my little kids can take their shoes off and walk around while they explore. Water can be chilly though so best on a warm day.

I did this hike in late September. It is a really neat hike through a slot canyon w two waterfalls. This was one of the top three hikes I did in Zion. This hike is definitely worth the time to do. Your feet and legs will get wet. You are hiking in and out if water the entire way, mostly ankle to lower calf deep. A few spots were mid thigh deep. Water is pretty cold, but your in and out of it so it isn’t as noticeable as the Narrows. The ladders at the waterfalls are a bit challenging, but we made it safely. The second ladder is not safe to climb. We stopped at that point. This hike is through a true slot canyon. The scenery is some of the best in Zion. I think. There was a cost of about $8 if I recall correctly. But it was definitely worth the $8 cost. Would definitely do again. The hike is not for little kids though.

This was an easier than moderate hike in my opinion, and an absolutely amazing winter destination.

Stunning day. Snow crampons were the ticket. Rainbows (Snowbows) around every corner. Falls were mostly frozen. Exquisitely beautiful.

Really enjoyed this hike. We hiked it in December with snow. The trail is used by snow shoes which made it accessible for regular snow boots. We were very glad that we brought ski poles as it made a huge difference. Crampons would have been nice, snow shoes would have been a bit much since it was so packed. The frozen fall at the end was spectacular as were the views enroute. We were not solitary but not so crowded that it was a problem in winter. We found a spot near the end to slide down on our rumps to cut off a switchback. Added excitement.

A classic, and crowded for a reason. It’s basically flat, can be done in an hour or so, and has great views of Provo canyon and the back side of Timp. Plus, there’s a waterfall at the end! I’ve done this hike as a Cub Scout, with cub scouts, and as an easy date. Very popular, so don’t expect to be alone on the trail. Nice for snowshoeing, though!

Did this on the 24th of December. Second time this year I've done this hike. One of my favorite hikes. Water is about 40' this time of year so be prepared for cold feet. Not a good time of year to go to the second waterfall unless you have a wet suit. Beautiful

Trail almost completely covered in ice right now so it is a little hard to navigate.

Wow. Wow. Wow. We hiked on 12/1 and there was 2-3' of snow the entire length of the trail. There was a small 2' wide compacted path the entire route so it was nice and easy to follow the path in regular waterproof hiking boots. Saw plenty of hikers with snow shoes and plenty without. It was fine without. The views on this hike are absolutely insane. Honestly the waterfall was great, but frozen over, but the valley and mountain views are top notch. We are here on vacation from Florida and have so far done 3 hikes (Adam's Canyon and Waterfall Canyon near Ogden) and this was our favorite of the three. Unbelievable.

One of the most beautiful trails I have been on. Highly recommend. I wouldn't recommend taking small children.

Great for a quick mid morning hike.
Up and back is about a 1.5 hrs.
Love the view from the cave.

Spectacular even on a cool November day!

Great hike! We went on 9/18 and the trail was still perfectly fine to hike. Some points had snow and were a little slick, especially right in the beginning, but we were just fine in regular hiking shoes. The falls are partially frozen and gorgeous! The trail was not very busy either. We brought our dog, and she had a blast. This trail is rated moderate with some up and down hill, but probably pretty easy for more experienced hikers.

Fun hike, beautiful sights and great falls.

A great trail with beautiful views and a waterfall at the end. To avoid the crowds, go early.

Nice length (not too short or too long) and varied steepness. We spent time at the falls and hiked with a baby and it took us 2.5 hours

Lovely, beautiful And adventurous trail! Captivating landscapes and rock walls!

My husband and I completed this hike on October 21. We started around 10:30 and were surprised to find there were only a couple people we encountered on the way their, and a few on the way back (maybe everyone gone for fall break?).

The trail is lovely and not too steep. We were a couple weeks late on peak fall foiliage, but everything was beautiful just the same.

Our only regret is that when we got to the waterfall, we scrambled down to the river. Instead of scrambling back up, however, we took a long, meandering way down that added a significant chunk of time to our hike. Next time, we'll have to figure out a better way to get back up to the main trail.

The quiet, beautiful morning was well worth the 90-minute drive for us. A must-do hike for northern Utah!

5 stars, this trail was breathtaking. Fall colors were glorious and getting to the caves at sunset with no other people there, to die for. Amazing. Will do again.

Absolutely gorgeous, even with most of the leaves having fallen. Lake is crystal clear and the surface is like glass. Pretty busy given the weather, but more than enough space to “get away” from others. The far side trail along the lake was muddy, but doable. Just wear hiking boots, not sneaks and you’ll be fine.

My dog loved splashing and running, others with well behaved pets as well.

Bathrooms as clean as can be expected and odor was minimal.

Parking was accessible and had enough to go around.

Road up is a little precious is some areas bc of the shrubs intruding onto the drive path on the sharp turns.

Will be going back in full winter and spring to enjoy more!

Super easy walk to the falls. Great hike if you have little ones!

The hike was beautiful! The water was very cold!

Great hike! Save time to explore once you get to the falls; there is a nice trail that leads up towards the top of you don’t mind being adventurous and climbing a little.

Great easy walk around the lake.
