Trail was ok, but nothing too interesting. that being said, it was a lot better than just staying home and watching TV.

Fun little hike for the family, the kids spent hours climbing the rocks and we got some good pictures

Lots of stairs up front, but a great view of some rock formations and bluffs!

Using the directions from this app we found the trail with no issues, although it is in the middle of nowhere haha we were thinking we had gone the wrong way before we finally ran into a local on the narrow dirt road and he told us we were right around the corner.
The trail was easy for the most part and the end result is def worth all of the time it took to find and hike the trail. Beautiful rock, waterfall, and water! Would love to go back during rainy season as the water flow wasn’t as much as I expected. Our 6 year old twins absolutely loved it!

Gorgeous Rock House at the end of the loop. Amazing views on this moderate hike!

Absolutely beautiful!!

Do not go clockwise on the trail. you need to go counterclockwise or stay to the right because if you follow the sign left, the trail starts off kind of clear but about a mile into it it gets very very thick and is not well worn at all. The trail gets thick and difficult to follow and there are still trees down blocking the path that you have to go through under or over. Overall, it was an okay hike and I think it will be better in the fall especially after a heavy rain.

Was really excited for this trail. Left early morning from Kansas to come to this trail and we walked it for a good 45 minutes and realized there is no water at all... nothing like the pictures show. I was really disappointed.

Good easy hike. Kids and pet friendly. Unfortunately the falls were pretty dry at this time of the year.

For being on the edge of town this is a great place to go! We’ve seen numerous deer and turkey! We love this Nature Center!!! They have made upgrades to the trails with gravel and just adding more beauty to the area.

just a walk upstairs to other trails not a true hike. But a great outlook to see the hatchery from above if that is what you are interested in.

nice little hike not much elevation change decent scenery

What a wonderful hike! Varied terrain, views, more little creeks/brooks than you can count. All of this leading to and from an amazing destination that is the Indian Rock House. Not once does the trail become monotonous or mundane - there is so much to see!
Make sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp if you want to explore the small cave within the rock house. If you go after a rain you will most likely get your feet wet as the trail crosses over the creek several times.
Really enjoyed it!

Great for an afternoon nature walk. One we will definitely walk again.

Pretty trail and better than I imagined. Will do this again.

It’s not marked very well, but it is a nice trail that probably has really good views in the winter months.

What a gem of a trail! The nature center is a must stop before heading out on the trail and has several interesting exhibits on the Missouri outdoors. The trail is a stop on the Great Missouri Birding Trail and didn’t disappoint as the trail passes through several habitats each abundant with different bird species. The highlight of the several bird species spotted was a Mississippi Kite. The trail is well maintained and marked. A beautiful Broadhead Skink with a bright orange-reddish head sat next to the trail and allowed us to view him for several minutes. I will definitely do this trail again.

This hike had it all! Great views, rock formations, views, a waterfall, creek side parts, an old mine and quarry, and the cave is amazing! Definitely will go back! It was more strenuous that I thought, there was a LOT of uphill portions, but definitely worth it!

I have hiked this trail my entire life and it only gets more beautiful! It’s quite the workout too! If you aren’t used to it, you will be sore the next day!

We took our 5 kids here today. We had a blast. They have a little packet for kids to find things as you hike. They have so much on the side of educational. We did the long trail which is about an hour the trail is well maintained and also guides came through as we walked and handed out stickers to the kids. They have places to stop and look in the water and play. We will for sure be going back. We loved it.

This hike is truly a marvel!!

Nice easy trail, some pretty views. The park was busy but this trail was not. Worth the drive.

This is a nice, short but scenic trail that is perfect if you are looking for a quick walk. We saw deer and ducks during our walk There wasn't too much traffic on the trail. Trail was easy to follow. Would definitely come back.

Pretty good trail just for fun. Nothing too difficult!

Expose to nature at It's finest with waterfalls, caves, underground rivers, creeks.

I've walked this trail 3 times and plan on going back for more! Love seeing the mine and waterfall. I take my 7 yr old daughter with me everytime and plan on taking my 3 yr old son next time. Although I would advise that if you want to see the extended cavern in the rock house, do not go after a heavy rain. The spring fills to the brim making it impossible to pass to get to the inner caverns. Quite disappointing since us my favorite part of the trail. Overall it's an amazing hike full of beautiful views and great memories to make.

Short little jaunt around the nature center grounds with a view of Lake Springfield. There are convenient on-site bathrooms, plenty of parking, and the nature center itself for those interested. This place is a hidden treasure at the south end of Springfield.

The creek and falls are very beautiful. The fallen trees have been cleared from the trail, and were a sight to see themselves. We enjoyed exploring the falls and climbing on the boulders.

Parts of the trail, especially near the creek at the picnic table, are not clearly marked. We were concerned we lost the trail at one point but we walked along the creek until we found the picnic table. The bridge only crossed a side creek, not the main creek. The creek was hard to cross to get to the bridge for my grandfather, who is physically fit but has bad eyesight.

Did the basic loop due to time constraints. Leave yourself half a day if you want to see it all. Quiet and beautiful trail with lots of scenery. Tip. Do the loop clockwise. It makes the climb back up easier
