Absolutely beautiful!

A well marked trail from Thompson Rd parking area to Middle Mtn to Peaked Mtn and back. Steep in some areas but a great view from Peaked. I was hoping for more from Middle mountain but a great hike.

Great hike. Some challenge for children or older folk (like me) but worthwhile.

Beautiful walk. Too popular at peak times.

This is my new favourite place in NH! A beautiful and easy path to the falls that are seriously just stunning. Parking was an issue, as the lot is small, and you can’t park on the road so get there early.

Very easy walk and highly recommend for kids!

Enjoyed the walk today, until I fell in the one area of mud. Of course it was my luck that I sprain my pinkie in the fall. My dog loved this trail. Nice easy hike(walk).

Just a nice walk in the woods. My dog enjoyed the easy walk.

Great walk with dog. Trails are well taken care all the way to the bath. Will be back to go past the bath.

Trail was a bit hard to find at the beginning. I ended up next to someone’s house. I used the map feature on All Trails to trek through the woods to find trail. Finally I saw the orange blaze. They are super helpful as the trail isn’t obvious in some areas. I hiked it in September with my dog and all the creeks were dry. The view was good at the top and we only passed one other hiker on the trail. I ended up taking Pasture trail back down to Durand road instead of returning on Lookout Ledge trail. Durand road runs along a slow river and I found a set of stairs we could go down to the river so my dog could cool her feet and get a drink. Coming down that way was steep at the beginning, but not terrible.

Easy trail, relatively flat trail. Wide paths and well marked until you arrive at the bath site. I wouldn't recommend in september or during the dry season due to not much water flow.

Easy walk. Nice view of rock and water

Very pretty lake and small waterfalls.
However, the circular trail itself is not very scenic (through a forest; the lake mostly hidden from view by trees), and flat. Ok for a quick little walk in the woods, but nothing special.

Really peaceful trail with scenic views

Easy trail with very fun pools for dipping your feet in or playing around.

Nice hike. Not as scenic as I expected but worth doing.

Just finished this with our 5 year old pup. Saw a few people in the first half mile, and a couple at the top, but otherwise had the trail to ourselves. There are two peaks according to the elevation map; the first one is pretty steep (and seemed moderate difficulty to us), which made the remaining incline feel easier. Bring bug spray, you’ll need it for the first and last mile. Thanks to Herb and Laura, the campground hosts, for showing us where to park- if the 5 visitor spots are taken, you can squeeze in next to the dumpster as soon as you pull in to the campground.

moderate hike. parking for 5 cars but campground very nice letting parking by 1sr dumpster and RT 16.

Hiked this trail today with my 2.5 year old daughter in a backpack. Was a tough go on a couple of the really steep sections but making it to the summit made it all worth it. Highly suggest this trail, great bang for your buck!!

The hike was easy and short but no good views

My husband and I wanted to avoid the busy crowds and limited parking of Chocorua on Labor Day weekend and we hadn't hiked in a month so we decided to try out this hike to work our way up to
more strenuous hikes. We had the whole loop trail to ourselves and had a lovely hike in the woods. Do not be fooled by the low elevation as if you hike the loop you will get more than enough exercise as it goes up, then down, then back up again! Only one small stream at the beginning and then again at the end of the loop but it is a welcome sight for splashing water on yourself when it is hot out at the end of the hike. The hike is well maintained with lots of beautiful mushrooms to see on the way and the woods are beautifully peaceful and a bit magical too. The views from the top are lovely and we felt it was the perfect peaceful, quiet hike for us. We felt like we got plenty of exercise and enjoyed many various views from the different lookout points at the top. You can see Chocorua from one vantage point, Cranmore from another as well as beautiful lakes towards the southeast. A great option if you only have a 3 or 4 hour block of time.

This was my first hike ever. I found it a little too easy but I'm a skier and a great climber so...I figured I would. It doesn't have the best scenery though and Hurricane Irene did a number on it's later sections after you reach the peak if you keep going.

Great hike. Started off at campground. Did counter clockwise. Great views from numerous spots.

End of August. Beeatiful small trail along the lake. Or in the woods with many many mushrooms. Mountains are mirrored in the water. Breathtaking!

Spectacular view at the top! Definitely worth the steep ascent and descent but would not rate this as easy by any means. It was a moderately difficult hike but definitely worth it.

If you don't have a lot of time but want a challenge this is a great hike. We hiked up the ski trail. It is steep. We then hiked down Old Path for about a quarter mile where the trails merged. We hiked over to Double head south to find a beautiful view and a nice ledge to have lunch. We did it on a hot August day. I would do it again in the fall.

Gorgeous hike with unusual falls. It was quite busy when we hiked it Memorial Day weekend. Two adults, an 8yo, a cranky preteen, and 2 dogs (one old lady dog who rode part of the way in a backpack) all made it—but it took us longer than I’d have liked.

Great morning hike with minimum traffic. Peak has some nice views for the size.

Nice trail, that is pretty easy most of the way. The loop section up and around the falls is a bit steeper. The best views of Champney and Pitcher falls were below this last section of loop trail anyway. Falls are pretty but not spectacular. Perhaps they are better in the spring when more water is in the streams.
