Totally too easy of a “hike” but very beautiful with the river and falls!

Busy easy hike. Beautiful waterfall!

Short, easy trail to a beautiful waterfall. Numerous No Pet signs, but we encountered two fellow hikers who thought they were "special". Each had dogs! Folks, rules exist for a reason. We called each of these gentlemen out for their wrongdoing, but neither cared at the moment. We need to be the stewards of these beautiful areas! Oh, mosquitoes were minimal today.

Nice hike for the view you get. It’s short, do plan some other hikes or adventures in the area to make it worth the trip. The ride in is a bit rough, so go slow on the roads.

Lovely hike close to Seattle. Can be crowded.

The beginning of the hike is easier and runs along side a river. You’ll start to hear the waterfall as you hike deeper and start to gain a little elevation. There is a fabulous lookout point with benches to enjoy the view of the waterfall from afar. The hike becomes a slightly harder with lots of change in elevation towards the waterfall. There are no signs on the trail. We ended up at the upper falls spot first and then went back down towards the lower falls lookout afterwards. Gorgeous hike!!

Overall good family friendly hike, it is busy though.

Fun way to spend a hot day! Views from upper and lower falls are gorgeous!

I went on the 4th of July. I lucked out with parking. Judging by the amount of cars, I considered not going but was able to get a parking spot at the trailhead. Based on the amount of cars, I was pleasantly surprised to not really meet up with too many people for the about the first mile. The rocks weren't as bad as the roots as people have mentioned. I wouldn't take little kids but I saw plenty trekking without a problem. I had a dog and encountered about 18 others throughout the day. All but one were on leashes. The mud greets you near the top. I'd say the last half mile. The worst part were the bugs at the top. I didn't notice them once I crossed the wood planked walkway. definitely be prepared. Beautiful, relatively easy hike. I'd defi do it again.

My friend, who has just recently gotten into getting back into shape and I hiked this trail today. She is almost 60, and I am in my mid-sixties. We enjoyed many streams, tall trees, views of the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, and just hanging out together. It is rated easy, and at our age and ability found it very doable but it’s still a workout. We went down to the lookout for the highest waterfall (lots of stairs and not all of them very even heights) and we are glad we did. Enjoyable day, even though it was in the 90’s by the time we were done, since there are virtually no places where the sun is beating down on you.

2 stars because of the hype, the parking situation and the crowds. I thought this would be much more beautiful than advertised. It's basically an urban flat trail through the woods with a smallish waterfall at the end. Parking is insane! So many people. We kept going to Denny Creek for a longer hike. It's probably a nice small hike for families with little kids, but watch out for them going off trail (this is easy to do) and getting into the poison ivy or the devil's club.

My toddlers first hike! He loved it! Lots of other kids on the trail, nice people. Access to the water for playing or dipping in, which quite a few folks were doing. It was awesome. I can't wait until my son can go even farther when he gets bigger.

very easy and enjoyable hike. very pet and family friendly.

did this trail October 2017. went with a group of 4, which was a good size. it was cool in temperature but no one in the lake. cool rock wall at the lake.

Challenging and very worth it. It took us about five hours to do the trail including around the lake. We saw some fresh bear scat on the other side of the lake.

The views from the trail were gorgeous the river is stunning! Super busy but it didn’t take from the stunning view and experience down at the base of the falls. We took wagon road trail back and didn’t see a single soul; the forest hike was wonderful!!

One of my favorite hikes to date. Pretty high traffic but worth it. My husband and I found a path that led to a part of the falls that was secluded and we took a dip in the ice cold, crystal clear water. Absolutely amazing. Won’t forget this hike!!

Thimble berries and huckleberries season is open, the snack bars line the trail. This trail is shaded and a good choice if it is hot. I found it moderate/hard as there are a lot of tricky steps with roots or rocks and hiking sticks helped a great deal. Looks like the Gardener was hard at work, the trail around the lake is lined with ferns and charming Bunch Berry in bloom. A swim in the clear water was the best reward and the GREEN is a balm to the eyes. You will love it! A perfect wedding anniversary hike!

Swimming is perfect! Huckleberries, thimble berries and salmon berries snack bar is open. Twin Flowers line the trail and Alpine Meadow Groundsel fringes the lake (could someone please confirm identity)
Malo potholes, "if they drive straight they must be drunk", saying from Costa Rica applies.

Beautiful and short hike from Lake Crescent Lodge, it’s a well maintained trails. Old trees big rocks and the Falls I love them all. The wood stairs are well taking care of. Going up the upper Falls is a little hard on my knees, but it’s worth it. If you want a little easier hike for your knees the lower Falls is a better choice. My 6 years does not have a problem with it though. I’m surprised he didn’t complain. We enjoyed it. I recommend this trail.

I’m five months pregnant and had my 2yr old on my shoulders and LOVED this hike. It’s short but beautiful and we hiked down to the waterfall and went swimming underneath it.
