Did this trail today, it was a decent trail. It could be better marked. I also found out this is no longer a State Park.

Terrible for trail running. Seems like it was just built by mountain bikers for mountain bikers.

The trail isn’t marked very well and it’s incredibly easy to get lost. We did 4 miles and could never find the way out and ended up having to turn around and go back another 4 miles to get out. We ran into a group of boys who were lost also and they ended up finding a smaller cliff area that was only about a 10 to 15ft jump to the ground and just jumped off lol. Some better trail markers and this would have been amazing.

Started off the new year proper with a family hike!! This was also the first hike of our #52hikechallenge for 2019 and we can’t wait for the adventures ahead. New Year’s Day was a cold one and we only got about a mile of hiking in, but we brought hot chocolate and dressed in layers so we had a blast! We will definitely be back to explore the rest of the trails and look for rose rocks. (Lake Thunderbird is a great place to find them)

I love coming out to the lake. Lots of wildlife, clean, and awesome! Make sure to use bug spray. Lots of ticks lately.

Decent for a walk during the day. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets!

Lots of trails, good scenery. If you go off the paved trail you can find a hidden creek and mini waterfall. One of my favorite parks in Edmond!

Absolutely heavenly in the spring and summer!

Hiked 7.5 miles 12/30/18 started the green loop then went on to the yellow and red loops. They are not marked well so go in with a trail map and gps. Otherwise great hike and view of the lake at the tip of the red trail. The trails are not maintained by the park itself but rather the Bicycle League of Norman which is where you can acquire the most recent map of the trails.

This was an easy trail for beginners. Great landscape and scenery. Major issue was the lack of trail markings. We just wondered around until we reach a boundary and came back

Not many people here until afternoon. Stayed on blue and red trails. Well maintained and clear. Nice trail close to the lake. We saw ~9 deer, 2 armadillo and a dead opossum. Of course the trails are many and not marked well. Bring your GPS for a stress free enjoyable day of exploring.

Solid trail close to the south side of OKC

Unless you are riding with a local don’t even waste your time going to this place. It’s a total clusterf...k of unmarked trails that crisscross over each other for no apparent reason. The trails in and if themselves are okay, but there are better places to ride trust me.

Trail has potential if it was better maintained and you kept the horses off it. Too much open pasture riding and zero maintenance in the woods section. Also has lots of mud sections that the horses turn into a quagmire, and then when it dries out it’s rough as hell with a thousand hoof tracks.

Overall I liked all the woods sections and even some of the open parts, it just needs maintenance. And the next time someone bitches about mtb’s causing erosion, they should go to this trail and see what the horses have done. Ruts up to a foot and 1/2 deep are everywhere on this trail.

The service road is closed to motorized vehicles. The trails through the forest are varied with tons of great stops for the kids. My 4 and 6 year old were so entranced with the climbing trees and "houses" under fallen trees and the make-shift cabin someone had made out of a ton of fallen timber, we only made it about 0.5 miles of the trail in 3 hours! I would not go in the hotter months to avoid the ticks, but today, mid-December, we saw exactly one ant and no other crawlies.

Hiked this trail for the first time on a 31 degree day. Other than a lot of cold breezes, the trail was fantastic. Very well marked and maintained. Just enough up and down to keep it interesting. Saw 5 big male turkeys.

My Favorite Running Trail by far!!

Nice place. Not overly crowded.

Great trail. 2 choices of paths that intersect several times . Didn’t see many ticks at all.

No way to say this was a hike unless you do the full thing. I only did a couple miles and was easy breezy. It has a nice view of the river.

This is one of the better trails in the area. I have had 2 crashes on this trail and I still keep coming back. There is some sections that can get sandy coming out of a turn .
Even though the parking lot is packed most of the times I hardly come across a biker on the trail. Most of the time I come across a runner or hiker.

We loved this trail. It was a peaceful, relaxing, and leisurely walk with our little dogs (who also loved it). The pond/lake had a couple of “scenic outlook” spots for decent picture taking. We will be back.

Good place to get some miles in on pavement. Not super scenic but getting better every year!

Great trail for biking, running or walking... with that said DO NOT follow the directions off this app to get there, it is inaccurate. Go to River Park located at south Agnew Avenue near the split of the 40 and 44 freeways; or park at 2021 south Robinson avenue where Wiley Post Park is located.

Likewise we never saw a restroom near the trail but we only completed a small portion of it.

Nice short trail with interpretive signs in wetland area. Great fall color.

Hiked 4.8 total miles including this trail. Hard to navigate with overgrowth and downed trees in many areas. New owner plans to fix it up. Perfect weekend with gorgeous fall color. Nice water on the trail and a lot of diversity from sandstone and prairie grass to cedars, maple and big oak trees.

I enjoyed this ride. I didn’t get to ride the whole trail by any means. I took the #4 trail at first because it is the first trail you come to. I followed it in a good sized circle then when I came back to the main road I decided to follow it wherever it went. To head out I went back to an inlet to part of trail #4. The trail comes to a T right takes you back to the main road (right follows trail #4) left takes you down the rest of the main trail (unknown territory for me).
