Great moss covered boulders along the way up. Saw that little blue jay at the top, right after sunrise. Very windy during sunrise, I advise a strong jacket if you go that early.

Awesome hike. Beautiful trail and view. It was closer to 5 miles round trip.

Nice trail, easily found route, fun rocks, waterfall and amazing moss on the trees. Great way to start the New Year! Good for kids too...

Easy quick hike, no ice, great time. Would love to see it in summer time too

Nice hike. The Talus Rocks section is pretty wild so it's sometimes hard to tell if you're on a trail. The reward was a beautiful waterfall. Try it in the wet season.

Great hike, saw a blue jay at the top

Good hike today! A few muddy patches, but nothing too bad. Looking out at the summit, I saw thick clouds rise and fall and drift, and it was eerie and beautiful.

Amazing views!!

After a moderate uphill climb that got the whole family huffing, the trail flattens out and leads to a really neat and fun collection of huge boulders that the kids really enjoyed climbing around and exploring for a bit while us parents rested. Gorgeous views especially as you get higher up the hillside.

Trail is good not icy , no snow on trail or summit as on Dec 27 . It is moderate climbing trail, good to have poles as trail is muddy and rocky. Saw guys doing rock climbing. Summit has scenic view. It took 1.5 hours to reach summit and 1 hour in way down with 9 year kiddo.

We decided to explore out here today, starting from the Nook Trail. We made it to the rocks which looked amazing but then for some reason we felt like we veered off of the loop so we decided to return the same way instead of completing the full loop. I’ll try this one again for sure on a warmer day - we would have been more willing to explore further if it had been springtime or if we had seen more people out and about.

In terms of day hikes, this one is was tough. Bring water

Very easy and family friendly trail with pretty views. Anyone can do this trail. It’s worth a visit.

Very well designed trail. Some rock climbing activities can be seen.

This is a moderate hike with great views at the summit. I went on a Friday in December and it wasn't too busy. I bet it gets crowded on weekends and in the warmer months though. As others have noted, the trail is a little longer than 3.6 miles (I recorded 4 and my partner recorded 4.1). There was no snow as of today (Dec. 21) but it was pretty muddy. We did it without trekking poles but I recommend bringing them if you have them.

Beautiful. Trail closed due to maintenance!

It is always a nice trail but seems longer than 3,6 miles, I thought around 4.6 which is what I found in another site and also confirmed by my phone. I had an enjoyable time.

easy hike. super family friendly

With 2 kids, this hike usually takes us 4 hours. (3 hours up, 1 hour down) The views at the top are so worth it!

Did the old trail up and new trail down on Friday 12/07. This past week the weather was amazing so the hike was great. Started hitting light snow about 3,400 feet which increased with elevation.
Was all packed down though some parts were a little icy. I went without spikes or poles which would have been nice but not a necessity yet. The old trail up was definitely a challenge. I made it to the mailbox in 1:50 so I was hauling. The way down on the new trail took about 2:25 as I was taking my time but could definitely be done faster. Very rewarding hike!!

Recommended parking up top and hiking down. You'll get a good workout going back up.

Hiked this yesterday & loved it! There were some good inclines & minor rock climbing, but what a view at the summit! It's worth the drive from Kitsap!

An easy hike with views of Snoqualmie Falls, the intensely powerful sight you've gotta see! Great for an afternoon out.

Very challenging hike. There's other more beautiful hikes in the area, but the workout is worth it for this one.

It was a wonderful day for hiking after a few days of rain. Trail is a bit muddy but the view is nice. We were amazed with clouds floating around the mountain.
