easy hike with very clear paths. don't wear thongs,flip-flops

The trail was muddy but we went the day after a good rain.. I thought it made it a lot more fun! You’ll want to pack swim wear, it also has a rope to swing off and jump in at the falls! Nice hike in, have a nice picnic and head out with plenty of day light. Will definitely do it again on my next visit to the island.

Good little hike not to bad it gets muddy in the beginning if it rained but I would just plan to do it if your going to go to the beach right afterwards!

Monk seal. Birds. Epic beauty. Awesome ocean. Nuff said. Do it!

Great to take family and friends visiting on!

Watch out for broken glass! the start is nice and easy but there is a lot of broken glass, so watch you fur babies. Definitely in the harder side of moderate but I really enjoyed it!

Very muddy when we went, so it felt pretty dangerous and scary at times. But so worth it once you make it to the waterfall and swim in the water!! Easier coming back than going down. 100% recommend, would wear hiking shoes and bring bathing suit!

Decent little hike with a mediocre view of North Shore. The graffiti art up at the pillbox was my favorite part which somewhat speaks to the lack of difficulty or reward on this one. Good for the family or bringing the dogs.

The scenery on the trail is amazing but be prepared for a lot of hikers. People wearing flip flops should reconsider their footwear so as not to slow others down. Safety is key !

nice hike wentduringa misty rainy day perfect for the look of the mountains very Jurassic like Trail well worth the hike

If you wanna to see seals-just do it! 3,5 hours total and you will never forget it! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, sunglasses and hat. Don’t forget water, camera and have fun!

I absolutely loved this hike! Stream crossings, climbing waterfalls with ropes to get to the tallest and most beautiful waterfall I have seen on Oahu. Also, we were the only hikers on the trail so we had the whole place to ourselves!

I have heard that the "hidden" waterfall is usually only a trickle, but yesterday it was going off! I highly recommend doing this hike after it rains or you may be hiking to nothing.

Micro spikes are an absolutely necessity to climb the first major waterfall to get to the "hidden" waterfall. Becareful, take your time, use spikes and you'll be fine. I'm not a fan of heights and I thought it wasn't too bad.

Park at the beach across the street & be courteous to the neighborhood you're walking through.

If there is a flash flood watch or warning I would not attempt - there are some narrow areas that if you had a flash flood you would be in trouble.

Pretty easy hike but very muddy if it’s rained. It was raining today but we still went and it was worth it. Definitely bring water, we forgot to and we’re dying lol

Very easy and accessible for any age, heavily trafficked. However, mostly on the weekend, and holidays. Rather rewarding waterfall, and lagoon at the end.

Complete waste of time and sketchy to say the least... the walk in is totally overrun with homeless people and the water is nasty. Don't go!

Soooooo so so disappointed in this “hike.” Some of y’alls reviews of this place are baffling. It’s a two-second walk through an encampment. Dirty clothes and hampers scattered everywhere. Soapy water and glass-paved. Yeah, not for me. Time officially wasted.

I went late March after some rain. Incredible hike. Falls, swimming hole, and cliff jumping were great though- so awesome. I’ll tell you parts of this, going down more so than up imo, are very hard though. Very steep parts and slippery. I did about 6 hikes in Oahu and this was my favorite.

Awesome hike. Not easy, not very hard either. Waterfall is great. One of the best in Oahu. CAUTION:: don’t leave valuables in your car. My Jeep Wrangler rental had the front right window bashed out. I was parked in the main parking lot (along with maybe 20 other cars) right off the highway.

Good hike but very muddy and steep. Do not attempt without hiking boots/shoes. At some points, there are ropes to help you. Honestly, I found the ropes more helpful going down than up.

Can get very muddy! it was a great hike and a gorgeous waterfall!

Nice hike with a lot of people. But the forest and the fall are very beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful! Flat hike with stunning views the entire way! Perfect hike for an overcast day! Please bring a bag with you and pick up a little trash along the way! Always leave a hike cleaner than you found it! I’ll def be back soon!

Nice short hike that even my teenagers enjoyed. Which is saying a lot.

Pretty forest trail, saw no other hikers that day

Decent hike, very crowded with people, pretty muddy at times. Awesome waterfall halfway up, though. Its roped off but lots of people were swimming in the pool under it. There’s also an option to go up farther past that and thats a bit secluded and much less crowded.

Nice short hike to a pretty cool swimming hole.
Bug spray and towel because you’ll want to jump in after a humid, dry hike.

Short hike. Good view. Wild pigs. Not too much mud. Steep enough to get my heart beating.

Great hike. Recommend water shoes, for it was super muddy. Strenuous parts at times. And felt longer than 2 miles but it was worth it. Just be careful, the rain caused it to be highly slippery during certain parts.
