I was at the Bruce Pit dog park it is a spacious area the path is mainly flat and accessible for people with mobility issues. There is a nice, tall canopy forested area in the back on the right side many trees have space between them to let the air to flow making it comfortable walking your dogs and you too.

nice trail. it was challenging in a good way. no waterfall, not even a trickle

Beau parcours !!

Good trail but it is best to go left at the fork to give yourself a good challenge and save the view/lookout for last. We did it the opposite way and thus it was mostly downhill!

Eagle Nest lookout is awesome. We parked at eagles nest, ascended on the logging road then took trail up to lookout. Descending we used the Pine Trail (something like that) which is a much nicer hiking trail along the ridge. This trail takes you back to the high way at Manitou Trail where you can walk the 400m back to the car. When I do it again I will use the Manitou Trail for sure!

The Sheffield conservation area is a blue marked trail that doesn’t follow the all trails map except for the first km or so. Then the blue marked trail continues further west before looping back to the north through the wetlands. The trail is well marked with no more than 10metres between marks on trees, rocks or shrubs. It’s got a few great view points especially along Haley lake. Took about 75 minutes walking along with my dog.

Very poorly marked trails! Had two girls see us and they said they were lost. Thought nothing of it. Till I went to east down, ended up on a dangerous cliff and had to get 911 to help us.

A favourite for a good workout and beautiful when the falls are active. Recommend doing the loop portion counter-clockwise because the descents are safer that direction. Good training for hiking in the Appalachians!

Great views!

A large dog park with woodsy trails, some dogs of the larger dogs found it okay to manage smaller dogs were too tired to move because of the heat
the temperature reached 32° with humidity. :]- .

There is a big parking lot, washrooms, and there is some chairs to the right of some trees where the main trail starts and is accessible to the right with some tree roots on the left sticking up.

Great loop trail with lots of rocky outcroppings with views of the surrounding hills , river, lake, and Ottawa skyline in the distance.

Area was good and the trail quite well marked. Although the map as found here is not consistent with the trail marks. I am wondering if the trail has been changed since this map was uploaded. I became confused and didn't end up doing the proper loop. I still managed a solid 5.6 km hike but I will be returning to do the proper loop. The part of the trail that I did do was really great also a nice boat launch available.

Nice hike and reasonably well marked by blue paint on rocks. Some places need to step carefully due to rocks and low cut shrub roots etc. Took a tumble on one and make me think they should trim these to ankle height.

Amazing park but doesn’t have enough bathroom my husband suffer from uraine problem and had to pee in bush and almost got his penis bit off so thank you so much beautiful park by the way

Great views of Ottawa valley

Very poorly marked. Very unsafe if you lose the trail which is very easy to do.

We hiked it with the dogs on the Victoria Day holiday. Description here is quite accurate. Nice trail with a waterfall and a scenic hill top view. A little something for everyone. Had an easy time with the dogs.

A serious hike for the ottawa region. The nicest part of the hike is the first 2/3 when you are walking near the waterfall and scrambling up the rocks. However, you can continue on towards the fire tower. That's ok but a bit anti-climatic.

A negative of the trail is that the signage towards the fire tower is a bit poor. You have to cross the stream and it isn't as obvious as it should be.

Another negative is that we went on the Victoria Day weekend and it was crazy busy. I have never seen a trail this busy in Gatineau Park - and that includes the main trails in the park during the Thanskgiving weekend. The sheer volume of people takes one star away from the trail. Otherwise I would probably rank it 5 stars as it was quite varied and interesting.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to hiking, so I hard to rest throughout the hike as it's quite the ascent. Absolutely loved it.

Wasn't able to do the full hike today because of unforseen circumstances, but I'll definitely be back.

One of our favourite hikes! Great views at the top. We started at P7 and took trails 8 and 37 to the King Mountain trail. Trail 8 was a bit wet and muddy but it was easy to get around the mud. There was still a bit of snow on the King Mountain trail on the north side of the mountain.

Family favourite - great place to bring the dog.

Hiked this trail today and the waterfall was beautiful! Some areas with snow still, others muddy and some dry. It’s a fairly easy hike with a nice lookout point to rest at at the halfway mark.

Beautiful walk in the city.

Great trail for a good workout steep ascent if you take the harder route! Lots of fun!

Good short outing with kids.

Reasonably flat. One gentle incline near the beginning.

Mostly crushed gravel or boardwalk over the marsh.

Signs with maps at reasonable points.

Large willow trees along the path make good climbing for kids or sitting to rest.

A few benches along the way.

Outhouse and picnic benches near parking lot.

Would be 4 stars if not for the road noise.
