It's a great hike, don't get me wrong. But considering the amazing ones around, I give that only 4 stars. The best is to find a way to add it to something else. We did The little and big beehive, Lake agnes, and then this trail through highline trail. Big day, filled with amazing views

beautiful definitely worth the trek up... just keeping going and be patient and anyone can make it.

Very nice trail. The only problem that the last part of the road to the trail was unpaved. However, it was an easy one and once you reach the lake, you can enjoy the view. We went on the fall so we could not enjoy the flowers so that I hope I can go again in the summer

A very nice trail , it has step sections but is very manageable, also very. yay as the weather was nice. The view at the trail end is breath taking !

Very steep at the beginning but very easy after about the first 2/3. The snow covered lake is in a beautiful bowl of peaks! Can’t wait to get back in summer!

This was a beautiful trail!! The trail offers some outstanding views once making it past the steep inclines. Most of the hike is in tree covering, but once you make it to the opening it is a worthy hike!! Our snowshoes worked out great and we wore minimal layers as we heated up quickly during climbing. I’d advise bringing additional layers for the opening as the winds tend to pick up past the tree line.
- great trail signage
- moderate/medium level difficulty during winter
- spectacular views
- easy access in and out of trail

Just do it!!

Easy hike with beautiful views!

A very rewarding hike with a stunning view of Ha Ling and Canmore. difficult but worth it. Ice cleats recommend as the scramble is still quite slippery

Amazing hike, weather is getting warmer. Just be a little careful now , ensure proper gear is on hand.

We did most of this trail - stopped early to head home - but definitely worth doing. Steep at the beginning but flat and easy going for the rest of the way. Good for snowshoeing but the hikers we had with us had a bit of trouble on the hill. Great snow and good views!

Great trail. Definitely push yourself to the top of the lake

We did a partial snowshoe/hike of this one today with some friends. Great views and lots of snow. A bit steep at the beginning without snowshoes and for longer than we thought; but very flat and enjoyable later on.

My favourite hike of all time.

Trail is in good shape. Some people in boots have made the first bit rough but clears up soon. Beautiful views & no one else on the trail!

Trust the ratings when it says this trail is hard. There was a lot of scramble to get to the summit, and although we brought our dog, he could not make it to the summit, with fear he would cut the pads of his paws. I recommend bringing back up socks for the decent once you pass the snow.

This trail has no markers or set paths, so be very cautious you don't get turned around on the way down.

Goat Pond is a short drive past the start point for some easy sight seeing.

So much snow and a great trail

So much snow. Fantastic as always.

Awesome views

lots of snow during the second half but not an issue. take crampons just in case.

The hills at the beginning of the hike are hard work, but if you push past them it'll be worth it for the amazing mountain views that follow :)

Good hike up, some steep parts for my beginner legs. Way down was quick.

Lots of new snow when we went up on 12/30/17. Great hike - first third very steep, but straightforward after. Several open meadows with great views of surrounding peaks.

Great variety and beautiful winter terrain

Great packed trail for snowshoeing. First few kilometers are uphill but flattens out after that. Easy to follow and well marked.

Completed this one in september, mostly a hike but you can sramble on some slabs if you go a bit off trail. Going towards the top it is more fun to shoot the gully to climb a bit of rock rather than travelling on the standard trail. However this is not recommended for return. On the way back down, there is an obvious trail leading around the scree/rock sections, but it is an awesome scree run with no large rocks and steep enough that you can gain some speed. By far the scree run was the most fun part, but be considerate of people above you because you will generate a lot of dust.

First time out, windy. The trail was in good shape, wasn’t prepared totally. Needed spikes on the footwear. We try next time to try to make it to Lillian Lakes and the waterfall

Did this one solo in mid-december was in great condition. Easy, short scramble with no technical challenges. Can be done in less than 3 hours at a decent pace. Some snow on the way to the summit but did not need cleats, however I would recommend bringing them depending on your comfort level. Going a bit off trail you can climb some fun slabs on the way to the south scree slopes. Great views of Ha Ling and Mt Lawrence Grassi to the east pretty much the whole way, especially once you reach the treeline.
