This seems like a popular trail, but not overly crowded. There are some camp sites at the lake, and if you keep going to the top there are great views of the entire area.

If we had more time, we would have climbed Tom Dick and Harry, which is on same trail path. The loop trail itself is not quite 4 miles, but it is lovely. If comparing lake to lake, we preferred Veda Lake. However, access to Mirror Lake TH is right on highway. Get there early for parking and expect crowds.

View is breathtaking

Beautiful!! Totally worth it!

Beautiful!!

Well maintained trail in the heart of PDX. I prefer early as the trail is open at 5 AM. Nice and quiet then.

love it! had a great time in the hot springs. we were very lucky that we didnt have to wait.

beautiful...Lots of trails.

Grew up hiking these trails as a kid in elementary school on field trips. A good easy hike for all ages! The suspension bridge is always fun too!

Beautiful- moderate hike. We carried a 1 and 3 year old plus lots of extras and it was great- not easy but doable. Lots of roots and some mud but easy to maneuver. Views are stunning and worth the work. Definitely on our list of hikes worth repeating

Really nice. Lots of up on the way to the lake.

beautiful view. uphill, downhill, and flat terrain. easy to get to if you're in Portland. trail, stair, or road options. very dog friendly. usually occupied by a lot of other people. not a secluded area at all. great for all levels.

Beautiful!

Great trail that offers fantastic views, birds, plants, and can be done easily in a light paced morning. Trail is very well developed and signed. Probably one of the more we’ll marked trails I’ve been on. I wanted to move fast for a good cardio workout but this trail begs you to move slow. For the views and for the slightly technical and wet trail. Once you get out of the plants the trail dries up. If you go later in the day, you have s better chance of no fog covering, however I enjoyed the fog.

Enjoyed this hike. Peaceful and beautiful

Nicely maintained trail. Beautiful view at the top.

I took my walking group here on a very hot day, and had a delightful, easy, shady 3.8 mile walk. wish there were more trails like it!

Really great for a city trail. Good for trail running.

The worse one.
In man built wood tubs that feel slimy, water is only warm for so long before you need to leave dump&refill.
Some private rooms with a single log tub.
I mean it's not the greatest, crime is popular not only in the parking lot but within the trail&the tubs.
Nudist is also a strong possibility to view a lot of..

Austin (keep driving past bagby) it's all natural &has the rock built walls to locate prime spot.
More secluded.

This trail is well maintained and provides a beautiful view of the Oregon coast and back inland. Members of the group maintaining the trails were present and friendly in chatting with the day hikers. The top was also a great place to layout for a bit, have a picnic, or even have a moment of meditation. All in all, a wonderful Oregon coast trail.

Pleasant, well-shaded trail through forest that culminates with a lovely lake & great view of Mt. Hood.

Steady elevation gain to the top, but nothing dramatic. Many exposed roots & one short section across large, loose rock that could prove difficult for those with disabilities or nervous dogs. There are also two quite narrow wooden bridges. Mosquitoes noticeable around the lake area in July.

Get there early. Arrived at 9am on a summer Saturday & all trailhead parking was full. Had to park in the Skibowl parking lot down the road, which adds a very unpleasant extra mile (there & back) along the highway shoulder.

This trail forms the lower half of the Tom, Dick & Harry Mountain Trail (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/oregon/tom-dick-and-harry-mountain-trail).

Fun great little place for a family stroll or a nice run. Nicely shaded too so it stays cool throughout most of the trails..
We started out early so it wasn't too many people yet. Parking lot was full by the time we were done after 9am on a Saturday.

I run this trail several times a week year round in combination with adjacent loops. One of the Crown Jewels in Portland’s Park System. Try connecting this to the Council Crest Park loop if you have time for a true “I heart PDX” workout!

This is a very nice walk for little legged or wheel bound kiddos as well as adults who are a little more unstable on their feet. THPRD has done a very good job trying to make you feel like you're in nature EXCEPT for the constant sounds of trains/max, busses, cars, etc. The trails are well maintained and clearly marked. The nature center and bathrooms are in good shape as well. I would recommend it to someone needing a quick walk/jog through the trees or an elderly person or person with young children mostly due to the paved trails and little to no incline... However, I don't think we will be returning as it is a bit too easy and close to city noise for my 8, 5, and 2yo preference as well as mine.
