This portion of the trail was an easy stride and full of autumn beauty! Great year round trail.

Fine trail if you are from the area and want to walk your dog. One view point. Otherwise no views of the river.

Extremely easy hike as most of the trail was paved. The bridge and the water is beautiful and we definitely enjoyed it as a more leisurely hike.

Beautiful trail to backpack in the fall. The leaves are vibrant and less people on the trail!

This is a great paved urban trail. The views of the salmon creek are beautiful close to 36th. It’s a good spot for a run with an option to make it a loop off the paved trail.

lots of people but great entry level backpacking

cute small falls

This beginning of this hike was pretty steep. The trails were not the best, there were a lot of roots and loose rock. I would not recommend young children for this one. It was nice and quiet however, I think we only passed 6 people the whole trip. There are many shaded sections so it was nice to escape the heat. Coming back down was really dicey in some areas, you really have to pay attention the the roots, loose rocks and other hazards. Unfortunately there was much of a view, but if you are looking fir more forest, this may be the hike for you.

Easy trail, great for families and on-leash dog walking. Draw backs were how busy it was, and parking. Overall, a very nice walk.

All Trails. Please adjust your mileage on hikes. I have noticed you consistently under rate the mileage. Today’s CLIMB to Pyramid Lake was a total of 5.25 miles. This is a steep climb all the way to the lake. The lake itself is small, but the beauty of this hike more than makes up for the small lake.

Much of this trail is paved and level, making it accessible to those in wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

on June Lake Trail

Trail in was okay, but views of the lake have disappeared. Shrubs have grown up around the lake blocking the view and there was a lot of green-black stuff growing in the lake. This is not the summertime hike it used to be.

a nice walk, very easy. family friendly.

Tuesday early afternoon, we saw about 15 people total, which is more than I'm used to on other trails. Everyone was super polite and we still got to the lake and enjoyed it solo for almost 45 minutes, which was a real treat. Not as many bugs as expected, very clear and easy hike. Definitely a good starter trail or hike with kids. Only a short part vaugely close to a drop off but the trail is wide and it's not directly adjacent the trail.

If anything, this is more of a nature walk than a hike, but well worth it. If you do the round trip, it's about 6 miles, which is a decent calorie burner even without any noticeable elevation gain. But if you were coming here, it wouldn't be for that, it'd be for the wonderful walk or bike ride on a paved trail that parallels the path of Salmon Creek. While you're not directly alongside the river at all times, it's always within earshot and accessed by walking a few yards down one of the dozens of side trails that offshoot from the main trail. You'll walk through forest, field and everything in between. Great way and place to relax amongst the elements. I'll be back.

Beautiful views of the mountain and stream. June Lake is pretty to look at, but it is not a lake; it's the little cousin of a pond. Not great for hammock camping if you need relatively specific distances between trees for your tarp, and don't plan on even getting your shins cooled down in the "lake". Great day hike if you just want to see some views though!

I like this trail. Worth squirming your way to the waterfalls when you get to the lake. Theres the big one and a misty one with great photo ops. Pretty quiet and easy trail. Mushrooms  everywhere but can’t pick

Nice, easy hike to a lake with a waterfall flowing into it. The lake didn't look very appealing to swim in because the it has a gooey muddy shore and is pretty shallow, but it's beautiful for taking a photo. I want to come back and do a backpacking trip up further on the Loowit Trail.

We were there on a summer weekend but only saw a handful of other people. However there was a considerable amount of trash on this trail; I picked up 3 aluminum cans, a gatorade bottle, plastic food packaging from where someone had camped at the lake, and a lot of micro-trash. There were cigarette butts, dog poop bags, and used TP as well that I did not pick up...

Nice evening with the family. We all made it down and back :-)

easy trail. very enjoyable for a Saturday hike

Love this Hike, it's beautiful no matter how far in you hike. I recommend going all the way to Wildcat Falls if you have the time.

Really nicely maintained trail. Parking at the trail head is crazy and please be a good human being and buy a northwest forest pass. Awesome waterfalls.

Was out with horse group 6/23/18; walked my horse across bridge and it is so slick that neither of us could stand up mid-span. I was knocked off the bridge onto the rocks below. Be very careful whether you are hiking or bike riding, but horses, stay off the bridge! The tie area is across the bridge but don't do it, tie to the trees just before you get to the bridge and "skate" across. We were able to get my mare back across, yes she fell on the bridge, by putting dirt and gravel on it for traction. This bridge and the one around the corner, needs fall protection like the others have

If your looking for a destination hike like some lake trails provide this is not it. I had high expectations of a glorious view of pyramid peak from the lake. It wasn’t there. The lake is more like a deep pond with some logs floating about. What was cool about this hike was the old growth forest that you will reach about half way into the hike.

We were a bit disappointed that there was no shore to access the lake to do a little fishing. Much smaller lake than we were anticipating. Pretty much up hill most of the way .

Awesome trail. I thought the elevation graph on the map was misleading. It's really a very gradual climb for the first 2 miles then a slight downhill or flat all the way in to the falls. Only met a few people on the trail. Long stretches of open sky so bring a hat and some sunscreen. We will definitely do this trail again.

Great paved trail for an afternoon stretch with kids, elderly, wheelchair bound, trail running. There are a lot of side trails to get peeks of the creek. Because of the general east-to-west orientation of the creek the early morning /late afternoon are the most dramatic “golden hours” of shadow and light.
