Beautiful, easy hike to the falls. Great setting with easy, safe photo opportunities. This trail was active with many groups of hikers of all ages. We started our day with 3 Forks Trail Loop across the trail head and then ended with this hike to the falls. We are glad we made the extra effort to see the falls. Also appreciated that the loop we did first was quieter and less traveled. The two hikes together give the best of both worlds if you are fit enough to hike 7+miles in a day.

Nice hike to do in the fall. We loved the water features along the way!

nice trail. follow creek to falls. trail was covered with leaves and hard to follow at times but just follow creek to falls.

Beautiful year round.

beautiful in the autumn colors; peaceful in its isolation, almost other-worldly...

Perfect time of year to hike this trail! Beautiful colors and scenery. Recommend stopping mid-way and taking the steep little trek to the smaller falls before the larger falls . . . both are amazing!

Beautiful scenery.

This trail was nice. The moderate rating is fair. The view at the top was spectacular. We hiked in the fall and all the leaves were changing. The waterfall was also nice. My 4 star rating was due to the fact that you are hiking along a major interstate and the noise was not what we were looking for on a hike through the woods.

This trail was okay. We went clockwise and camped at the campsite since we had a late start to our day. It was all downhill which made it go very fast. The campsite was very nice. It had a place to hang food from bears and a fire pit. It was right by the river which made it a bit chilly but it was nice to listen to. No outhouse but it was not a big deal since we had the site completely to ourselves. In the morning, we headed out on the trail towards the Hemphill Bald. When it came to the second intersection with a river, we couldn’t find the trail on the other side and there was no bridge in sight. We think that the trail was supposed to go up the mountain a bit before crossing the river, but since we couldn’t see a clear path, we decided not to risk getting lost in the woods. We turned back and did the half of the trail that we started with. There was no mountain view or wild animals which was disappointing, but the trees were beautiful and the weather was very nice so I can’t really complain. If I were to do this loop again, I would go the other direction around the loop!

This is an awesome trail hands down! The trail along the ridge top is pretty uneventful and easy going, but it definitely gets tougher along the creek bed. There are plenty of water features along the creek and plenty of great spots for photos. The trail can be very rocky and uneven sometimes along significant drop offs. Definitely a good idea to have a walking stick or trekking poles for this one because there isn’t much to hold onto for balance. Definitely a great hike despite the difficulty!

beautiful hike, loved the waterfalls.we did meet a lot of college students along the way but all were very nice and respectable acting just enjoying nature like the rest of us.

Enjoyable stroll. Hidden Lake was beautiful as the sun was setting and the leaves are about to change.

Great hike little tight in spots but swimming hole is worth it!

Beautiful trail. We added on the arm to Sycamore Falls. 5.1 miles total and took 1hr 42min.

map is wrong. at the back of the park is a gazebo with parking that's starts there. seems more like a cut through to get to to the neighboring high school than an overlook hiking trail. nice incline. didnt find overlook.

0.7 miles to bottom of falls, all downhill. good payoff

Nice beginner hike, took my dog with me, very wide trail. Beautiful views of the hidden lake. Would recommend to any beginner, also very well marked trail

Very rewarding hike. The way down is easy for the most part, although you will cross a few creeks where you have to be skillful to not get wet. The waterfalls are worth the whole thing, including the most difficult part, the walk back up. I wouldn't consider this a difficult hike just as long as you are in decent shape.

This hike was wonderful! It was a little long for our 5 year old but he still had a good time. So many different creek views! It was like something out of a postcard around every turn! Towering rocks, running creeks and fall leaves all around!

Not much of a hike, but it’s beautiful. It’s great for kids, dogs, people who aren’t able to handle big/difficult hikes.

Great hike, beautiful at the top! Seen deer, elk and turkey! Would do it again!

Trail is beautiful! It is marked well. It has several waterfalls ...they are not huge but still nice! There are swimming holes, rock formations, big trees to keep it shaded in hot weather. The path is full of roots and rocks so you have to watch where your walking constantly...... so don’t forget to stop and take in the scenery because it’s awesome! We took the spur trail to Sycamore Falls which seems longer than it actually is because of all the rock hopping but worth it! We didn’t go to the base of the falls ... it looked like you may have to cross the creek to get to where we would have liked to be ...planning on coming back in warmer weather. Anyone would love this trail, but you do have to pay attention to each step you take, there are some narrow rocky paths with drop offs so just be careful and enjoy!

I definitely think this should be rated difficult, not moderate. But the beautiful waterfall and the workout is worth it!

For a new hiker like me, this trail was moderately difficult with rich rewards in scenery. If the quarry wasn't pretty enough, the higher elevated views of the lake are even better. My favorite part of this hike was scrambling over the beautiful rock formations. The remnants of buildings left over from the old resort from the 1920s hints at the history of the area. The Bluebird Loop at the beginning and end of this loop have plenty of butterflies and wildflowers that are fragrant on a warm day. This hike is a lovely way to pass an hour.

Great easy trail, lots of shade and several waterfalls to dip into.

Super easy hike. You have an amazing waterfall that you are able to walk behind on one side and a huge cave 500 yards away on the other side. I highly recommend packing a lunch and eating at the waterfall. I was told the waterfall was used in the children's movie the Jungle Book.

Great short little hike with two trails and a couple of caves. The water fall was AMAZING!

Simple hike for a day trip. Our four year old (who is a moderately experienced hiker) was able to do the entire thing. Have been numerous times and always enjoy it!

Beautiful trail. Waterfalls and cascades all along the way. We went after a good rain and everything was just stunning. Trail was well-marked and maintained. We did the extra bit to Sycamore Falls and partway up Fiery Gizzard, which had us at about 5-5.5 miles total. Hiking boots or other sturdy shoes are needed since the trail is rocky with exposed roots. Such beautiful rock formations and the trees are massive. This has to be the prettiest trail I've hiked so far. I will definitely be back!
