I've done this trail at least 52 times for sure! This is a great trail, love everything about this trail. Could have better parking but I always went on Monday's so it was fine.

Busier than expected. Parking was a little tough, too. Only made it halfway--taking to many notes for a geology assignment.

Lots of people. Beautiful view!!

Great views of the city. My Fitbit clocked it at about 7 miles. A real fun scale up, not rocky, and not strenuous.

This trail is always a joy to hike. It was my first in Arizona. It has change a lot by half of the trail being paved but, the reward you get to at the end of the trail is worth it!

My Girl and I wanted to do “Fatman’s Pass” off the Mormon Loop, but we couldn’t find it. We ended up taking a random trail down the side of the mountain before the trail turns south and loops back. It took us to a really nice neighborhood. We walked the wilderness behind the homes and saw a coyote! It was beautiful. However, I’m pretty sure we were trespassing, and we never found Fatman’s Pass.

Easy start to a more advanced hike

Looks as though this hike will have a few new views soon. Sign posted for new community, Near the dead end gate area. This is a fun hike though and we have added to this hike in the past to make it even longer. Always nice to get away from the hustle and bustle.

just did the mormon trail, great hike, will do the loop next time

Beautiful views and scenery. Simply amazing when there’s water!

Great hike with my mom and dog! will do it again.

Fun moderate hike. The first mile is typical AZ hiking on dirt and rocks. At the top, be sure to follow the hidden valley trail (it's a loop so either direction is ok). That trail makes it interesting. You will see lots of people, including young children and dogs. Not a lot of parking in the lot but street parking available a block or 2 away.

This was a super fun hike! We clocked a little over 5 miles. Getting to Fat Man’s Pass was a little confusing and the trail to get there wasn’t clear. But after roaming around for a bit, we found it. Went w a friend who used to liver here and she said it was her fav hike she’s ever been on here! Def would go again. A little bit of climbing

This trail is not for the faint of heart. Marker 27 after the Helipad was all I could do today. A good tip is to not attempt after leg day at the gym. Will be back!!!

Very nice, easy going, beautiful scenery.

A challenging rock scramble at the top, but definitely fulfills bragging rights when you safely return down...enjoy!

Went with my kids (oldest is 5 youngest is 6 months. Was in a stroller. We love this trail! Especially after a good rain and the waterfall is flowing!!!

Went up echo trail and down this way! It wasn’t as well marked and less trafficked. At one point I was scaling a rock bc I thought it was part of a trail before someone saw and told me I was on the wrong part. Haha. I’d do it again, although I heard going up this trail is easier than going down.

Cool trail even if there is no waterfall. Petroglyphs, saguaro cactus and lizards along the trail. Beautifully maintained trail. Lots of picnic tables, rest rooms and trash bins in this regional park. Entrance fee to the park is now $7. Nature center at park entrance is worth a visit.

I take the shortcut trail going up on the right (west) side, after the housing area and the large water tank. This hike is only about three miles, but is great for getting the legs, heart and lungs pumping because of steep incline.

Easy trail that leads to a waterfall which had a little water since we recently had a storm. Starts out paved but quickly turns into a regular dirt trail. Nice vistas and Seguaro cactus along the way.

Had a great time, not too difficult. Had two dogs with me, lab and Aussie mix. Had plenty of room for both. Trail wasn’t too crowded. Took about 45 min up, 35 down. Saw some kiddos on the trail as well.

Nice trail. Not for beginners.

The Gila trail is not marked. I mentioned to ranger at the end of my hike. His reply was that it is a ‘social trail and the sticker must’ve fallen off’. Great hike. I was a little concerned about getting lost bc of poor signage.

Great trail! Lots of steep ups and downs. Foggy morning, so I'll have to come do it again to see the views.

Good workout and great views

Awesome for beginners. I live the views and all the different areas with shade. Great views. Wide trail.
