great trail for walking or biking.

My family and I did the Indian Trail loop. It was a good trail and good for all ages. Rocky for most of the trail so at times we had to take it slow. There was a great view point half way through. I highly recommend. We parked in Parking Lot 2 but you can drive further past the paved parking lot to Lot 4.

Follow the trail along the Tobyhanna Creek and it’s beautiful. Hiked a day after a rain. The path was the usual root and rock trail with episodic slippery mud. Benches are placed at scenic overlooks on the creek.

It was quick easy trail to get the blood flowing. Decent lookout points to the Tobyhanna Creek.

Loved this trail. Follows the creek most of the time so you can see and hear the water much of the time. Several boulders along creek to lounge on to take in the views. Very peaceful and well maintained trails until you get toward the end where its a bit weedy. No bugs today at end of July. Nice little waterfall too. You do need to be nimble as some parts have tree roots, stones to navigate.

Walked about half a mile to the falls with kids. Loved it. Beautiful. Lots of limbs on the trail so I’m not sure whether this is great for trail running. Caveat: I am not a trail runner.

Trails were a little confusing and it was extremely buggy when hiked in July. Nice vista toward the end though that made up for the bugs!

We hike the white and blue trails , like other people have commented some spots are not marked good but with the help of the state park trail maps we found our way ok and you can use your GPS nice hike enjoyed the trail through the woods and by the falls, watch lots of leaves and pine needles can be slippery especially on the steep trails

Easy walk - Great views

Moderate is an understatement. This is tough terrain.

Easy walk in the woods. Great Lake views. Pretty flat.

Nice trail by water. You have to cross the creek 4 times so your feet will get wet. Ruins were cool! There was a lot of mosquitoes.... bring the off with you on the hike!

Such a beautiful trail! The water areas are so nice!

Not a bad hike on a nice day. The trails were kind of confusing at times, but was a fun simple place to go if you’re looking to get out.

It was a decent trail. little confused by the posted trail as it went into the water. this was my first time using the app but when I got done with the hike I realized it would have been better to used the saved recordings of other users as they were able to find the correct markings to follow...next time. from what I did see there werent that many views or real falls. a good hike just to walk through woods.

Beautiful park. This was a lovely find for us and we will be back. We did Blue Orange Green and recommend that direction for the hike. The trails are very well marked but we also downloaded the map from the website on our phones and that was helpful. We did this trail (about 4 miles total) in about 2.5 hours with some teenagers and me (moderately in shape mom) and several stops for pictures. Trail definitely has climbing and steep inclines and declines so I would say this is a moderate not a beginner. No climbing gear needed but you need to be able to use your hands a little and pick a path. (My iPhone counted this hike as 46 flights of stairs). Tips: No facilities so bring your own water and be prepared to use nature. Also a significant amount of vegetation including poison ivy on the trails so wear long pants tucked into socks and liberal bug spray against ticks.

Gorgeous views of the lake and forest. And saw a newborn deer! Nice moderate hike.

A great place for an easy short hike or some great fishing. great place to spend an afternoon.

Awesome well marked trails!

Great trail! Very peaceful!

my home trail, has a little bit of everything, side trails and backwoods trails are usually peopleless;)

Nice easy trail....just did the Blue/White Trail to the falls...Looks like a great fishing spot. leads into orange trail..(christman trail) for a loop.

Nice hike to waterfall make sure you take the turn offs or you will miss the best views. Beginning and end of hike simple grassy route. The lake is beautiful

This was a great morning hike! Started off around 8:30-9am and didn't see anyone but some people fishing on their boats. At the end of my hike there was a bigger crowd (11:30-12). It was my first time at Merrill Creek and I'll definitely be back. Mostly flat hike, but occasional inclines. Trails ran along the creek and around the reservoir. One section about 3/4 of the way through allowed for a good lookout point. It was high above the trees and you could see some mountains off in the distance. Overall, good hike and a lot more trails to explore there than I originally anticipated! Good for hiking, kayaking, and fishing.

This is my annual "first hike of the season" trail. Not at all hard, super easy and just gets you ready for the hiking season ahead!

Orange to blue blaze well marked, a little difficulty finding white but once we did it followed the ridge above the lake, beautiful! Then we looped back down. Nice little waterfall too

Great, lots of different trails. but can every one take out what you bring in! My grandson and I collected a bag of garbage on our trail hike. www.carbonfootprint.com

It’s a good trail for beginners.

Very easy, the kids loved.

I've done this a couple of times. It is really more of a walk than a hike in my opinion. Also, it is not as secluded as I would prefer.
