The hike is pretty easy, but fun nonetheless. Glad we hiked when we did, the weather was in the upper 30's to low 40's with sunny skies. This helped to keep the crowds down but when we heading back to the parking lot, the trail was very crowded. Coming around the bend to the arch was breathtaking. Worth taking the time to see this beautiful natural arch. Would hate to do this hike in the summer.

We had a very late start at 4p. But we’re up and back down in time to catch one of the last shuttles (4:10 total trip time including 40ish minutes at the point). Since we were essentially there for sunset, we had the place to ourselves. This is an incredible hike providing visual rewards after taking step number 1. On the ‘hard’ rating spectrum, OP falls much closer to moderate.

long monotonous beginning straight up one large rock, then flat for a while before reaching some really interesting terrain before the arch. Delicate Arch was packed when I went on a Sunday afternoon, and rather steep, but still amazing! Bigger than expected! Parking can be tough on busy days. Bring LOTS of water.

Great Hike, winds a lot! Terrain changes! Great views! LOTS of sand! If wet, plan on MUD! Dry plan on dust! Seems long but worth it when u get to the falls! Plan on staying at falls for awhile in summer-swim!

Great place to hike!!!
We accidentally did the difficult course but was worth the reward at the end.
Warning for rattlesnakes. Some hikers reported one 30ft away from us on the trail but was gone by the time we arrived......phew!!!! Some narrow, sketchy areas on the tail end of the trail.

Did this the day after Angel's Landing, and we thought it was very cool to look down from Observation Point and see where we hiked the day before. The way up is tiring but lunch at the top was beautiful, and let us rest for an easy hike down. While not the most well-known hike in the park, I would definitely argue it's a must-do if you visit!

Fantastic hike! I would call it moderate. Be careful not to lose the trail at the end or you’ll end up walking on a somewhat treacherous path around the arch itself (which we accidentally did.)

We were there earlier this week and loved this hike! It is definitely challenging but worth it. No ice when we went but the rocks were slick. My 12 and 14 year old boys loved it. Definitely hit this trail first as it gets busy! We went around 8:30 and it was fine...a little cold but bearable. We also hit Double Arch, Windows and Balanced Rock. Those were our favorites. Drove by Fiery Furnace overlook(very cool) but cant hike that without a pass..looks pretty scary too!

Might have given this a five star except it was so cloudy when we did this hike so didn’t get any views at the top, also poured on the way down making the trail muddy and a bit treacherous. Definitely recommend hiking shoes in any weather given the grade. Good workout but doable for moderately fit novice hikers.

We went about an hour and a half before sunset, and we had the falls all to ourselves when we got there. Long, but easy hike there and back. It got dark on our way back, and the view of the stars was spectacular. Not a light to be seen but the moon and stars. Would love to go back someday and camp. Beautiful sites right along the creek.

Absolutely beautiful! This was the first hike I've done at Zion and I would definitely do it again. The switchbacks were tiring, but the views were worth it. Hiking this trail felt like going through various landscapes.

This trail is a great hike and the views are breathtaking the whole way up. I was glad I was wearing hiking shoes as it definitely helps to have some extra traction. We started up the trail at 7:45 am, stopping a lot to take pictures. Just after we left the top the clouds and a light rain came in making the trail very slippery and muddy. Total time on the trail was 3 1/2 hours.

Our hike was a bit of a bummer. We started at 9:30 am. The cloud cover was so thick that you couldn't see any of the beautiful views that you read about in other reviews. The trail was also very muddy due to recent rains, so it was difficult for small children to navigate. I have no doubt that it is a beautiful hike on a clear, dry day. But we didn't have that. I would start this hike early in the morning so that you beat the cloud cover, and pay attention to the weather before heading out. if you go on a day like we had, it's just a moderately difficult up and back hike with nothing much to see.

Great hike with spectacular views at the end. This was one of the easiest hikes we did in the Big 5, there is an uphill section and a few large steps up but very accessible. I would consider this an easy hike or a moderate walk.

wide range of things to see. so much fun and by far one of my favorite hikes I've done. I did the glacier and back down the other side so it was a bit longer but absolutely incredible.

Awesome views! Quick to the top! 1-2 hours, depending on pace.

I'm fat and out of shape... thought I was going to have a heart attack... but, I DIDN'T! I made it to the arch! My husband had both knees replaced 13 months ago and HE made it too!

make sure to go on a sunny day for the best views. the valley looked gray and dull brown instead of its normal brilliant orange due to a combination of cloud cover and wet rock.

there is no snow on the trail currently.

took me 5 hours hiking slowly with breaks. surface is all paved, slickrock, or packed dirt. the hike is relatively easy for its length and elevation change.

It was the best part of Maui for us, well this and snorkeling. The lookouts were absolutely stunning. Try to beat the fog rolling in or you won’t have much views from the top. Also this is rated moderate, but it’s basically 2 miles up hill and then 2 miles down hill. (I did just have a baby 4 months ago, but I would rate it hard for the fact that it’s ALL uphill, then your poor knees going down) but totally worth it, if you need to stop, wait until the wooden built lookout past 1 mile, it’s a gorgeous view even if you can’t make it farther :)

My favorite place in Arches

The hike was absolutely beautiful! It was like no other hike I have ever been on. My family and I went right after it had rained so the trail was very muddy and slippery, making it hard to hike up and even harder to hike down, but it was totally worth it! It took us just over two hours.

This keeps you mostly on the side of the mountain and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It is strenuous switchbacks and all up hill

Hiked this two days ago. No ice and snow, and the trail having been paved in a lot of places makes for easier hiking and can shorten the hike time. Very strenuous at the beginning but the trail gets easier when you walk through a canyon in the middle. Then you’ll have some more switchbacks to do, and finally the last 0.5-1 mile is a level walk around the rim of Zion canyon to the point. Took our group about 4 hours on the money to go up and down. And we took several breaks on the way up.

great hike. Took us 1hr 45 min and that was with a lot of photo stops.

Words don’t do it justice. Amazing!

Beautiful views. Steep at times. Don't be discouraged when seeing a full parking lot. Doesn't feel crowded once you start the hike.

Hike 02/25/18. Stunning views. My favorite part was hiking through the canyons. Make sure to start early enough to come down before the buses stop running. it's definitely a strenuous hike. and for those who are not acclimated to the elevation yet - do that first before doing this hike!
