This place was totally and completely out of my way, but it was so worth it once I got here. The entire hike is stunning. Very few people hiking here in the winter so it felt like I had the place to myself!

Closed at the trailhead due to rockfall as of 1/19/2019.

Great day hike trail in the winter. Lots of cute pups along the way and a great payoff at the end. A bit slippery coming back - Would rec bringing spikes, yak trax, poles or snow shoes if you have them. Still doable if you don’t!

Great short trail to a beautiful view overlooking the coast. Don’t miss this hike. Bright sun for much of the trail,so be prepared. If it has rained, can be pretty muddy.

Nothing short of amazing. I have done this hike four times this year but the winter brings a whole new beauty to this hike. Waterfall is mostly frozen. Beautiful take your camera.

1/11/19 heavy ice on beginning of trailhead. do not attempt without crampons.

This is a get your picture and leave type of hike. Compared to Corona and Bowtie, it was meh. The arch itself is awesome. The hike up is nothing special. At the top, you’re met with a whole bunch of people with little hiking ettiequte. People perched under the arch making it impossible to get a photo and groups of people talking and yelling.

An all around better option is Corona and Bowtie. The drive there is AWESOME! The hike is so freaking fun and the arch is just as spectacular.

You have to see Delicate arch when you come to Utah, but definitely don’t do this as your only arch hike!

GREAT hike! Definitely need cramp-ons to do this safely right now. Absolutely stunning views, and not heavily trafficked at all. 10/10 would recommend.

Wow! (In Owen Wilson’s voice)
This trail was EPIC! Incredible views and 100% worth it! It was considered moderate for us. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to hike up and 40 minutes to go back down. It was a little Icy but nothing too crazy. Elevation gain was a little difficult at times, but doable. Definitely a must do! Unbelievable views at the arch!

It's a steep hike that offers really cool views of the Salt Lake Valley. Not one of my favourites as there's no waterfalls, rivers or lakes to look at. It is doable in winter and I enjoyed myself over all, but it is exhausting fighting all that snow and it delays you. Make sure you have more time than you think you need before sunset. It's dangerous with light-hearted sliding down the steep, slick trail.

Challenging but views are worth it.

Short and easy yet stunning and beautiful. Delicate arch, probably the most famous of all the arches and understandably so.

Such an awesome hike. Did it in two days one night, but spreading it out over another night would have been nice. Started in a Thursday morning and was back Friday evening. Saw other people out but we’re alone on the peak for most of the time we were up there. Starts out forested then opens into valleys with awesome views of the surrounding mountains, then over the pass and up to an epic peak.

amazing views! a bit muddy/slippery, but worth every step!

Steep, but not too difficult. I did not like how exposed the last mile was on the sheer cliff face, but I am afraid of steep cliffs.

A lot better than Angels Landing, because this is less crowded.

Absolutely great views, I would do it again.

It is “only” 1.5 miles each way, but there is a lot of elevation and uneven footing. Right now there is also snow and ice. So I would say it is moderate to difficult. BUT totally worth it. Amazing to see the Arch up close! This is a must-do in the park!

This was a great trail. A lot of it was on a wide path through interesting vegetation. The narrow downhill toward the beginning was muddy and slippery, but we found a couple walking sticks to help us navigate that part. The views are fabulous at the end. Make sure to stay for awhile and soak in the beauty of the islands!

Beautiful evening to see the most iconic natural structure in Utah! It was a perfect hike with excellent views. The only downside is all the tourists who actually walk directly under the arch. Had to photoshop quite a few people out of my photos!

Lovely hike, not so alone anymore. Quite Some hikers that join you towards the temple or back down again. Also Some locals who make A jog on This trail! Looks A bit dangerous to me. But loved the environments!

Bring shoes that grip. Muddy trail!

Did this early October and really enjoyed it. On my first try I had to return about 15min before I reach the top because it began to rain and a storm was rolling in. But I did it again 2 days later on a perfect sunny day. The view is just spectacular and I stayed for about 1 hour and enjoyed the scenery. Although it was strenuous, going up and down took me a little less than 4 hours. I recommend to start early, so you have some time for yourself at the top before more and more people are coming.

Beautiful views. Well worth the hike. Took me 2.5 hours round trip. In OK shape. I’d rate this as moderate.

Amazed how the arches were formed! Love it!

One of my favorite trails I’ve ever hiked!! Love the river that’s right next to you and the scenery is amazing!! Definitely a must do!!

Breathtaking views, great workout could be slippery in spots be careful if raining! With the time!

The hike is great when you're on the trail. There's an awkward part in the middle where you're walking through a residential area, paralleling a golf course, on regular sidewalk, with cars driving by. I probably won't do this loop again because of that. Tons of other trails in the same area, so find a way to bypass the streets and stay on the trails.

Done and fun! Great socal hike. Desert mountains overlooking the ocean. Good climb too.

This hike is a difficult and long hike, but is a great hike with incredible scenery. You need to be in pretty good shape to do this hike though. Don't underestimate it. We actually took the easier way when we hiked it. We took a private shuttle in town to the East Mesa trail, and then hiked the East Mesa Trail to Observation Point. Hiking East Mesa Trail eliminates the long and grueling hike from the bottom of the canyon up to Observation Point. The East Mesa Trail starts up on top of the mountain and is a flat three mile trail to Observation Point. When taking the private shuttle, you are able to leave your car by the visitors center. You can hike Observation Point back down into the canyon, and then take the free park shuttle back to your car. We took the private shuttle with Zion Rock and Guide. Cost was about $40 per person, but was worth it for our group of 50 year olds. There are a couple of other companies that do private shuttle services. The view from Observation Point is spectacular and is the best view in the entire park. Do the hike anyway possible, but I'd definitely take the private shuttle route to get there. The hike from the bottom of the canyon goes through a bunch of switch backs, then through a really neat section of Echo canyon, and then some more tough switch backs. Even if you can't go all the way to the top, it would still be worthwhile hiking to the Echo canyon section. That is a neat area to see even if you don't go all of the way to the top. The upper section of switch backs do go along the cliffside with straight drop offs. If you have a fear of heights, this section may be a bit nerve racking for you. But the path is pretty wide to walk on. Happy trails.

Great trail, long hike mostly on redrock. Very short portion through the sand. Recommend, definitely worth the view and picture at the end.
