Great view!

Took my dog we had a tiny scare, of course some other dogs were off leash but were super friendly (my dog is not). There was water but the river is not active. Definitely go at an earlier time sun is blazing when you go back uphill to the trail head. Other than that loved it!

Enjoyed the trail Great Views great Swim for the kids Very Pet Friendly

I love this trail. It’s pretty steep for the first 1.5 miles but then levels off. The views are amazing!

Awesome hike, amazing views. Definitely worth it.

Great trail. We park off First Water road so the hike is 3.5 miles from there. I bring my dogs and it’s a great hike for them, even my 11 year old Lab can make it..with some breaks of course.

Incredibly beautiful views! Tons of people were hiking this trail, some folks were on bikes, some on horseback. As you get closer to the actual bridge, you will be hiking with a lot of other people. There was a huge line and a thirty minute wait just to walk over the bridge. Also dog owners beware. I saw a lot of dogs suffering from heat exhaustion. I would not bring my dogs on this trail. And if you must, bring lotssss of water for them to drink, and to wet them down.

Great short quick burner if you want to get in a great workout but you can also take your time and enjoy the climb and lunch at the pools (in season). I went yesterday and there was some water. The views are great and photo worthy. Definitely a great hike!!

It was fun. Yesterday my friend and I really enjoy it a lot. Like the below say there’s narrow trail a lot cactus by the trail but you can walk thru just to be careful. There is couple climbs I was nervous about but friend of mine help me guide. Not too bad tho. Just my balance was not too well I will definitely come back. Perfect weather tho 80s. There’s shade where you get surrounded with tree it’s beautiful

Love it, beautiful view.

Enjoyed the relative short distance of this climb, and moderately difficult rocky inclines in places. No shady spots until you get closer to the pools, so wouldn't want to be out there when it's hot. The vegetation was quite nice, despite lack of trees. Saw sparse wildflowers, and ocotillos were showing some nice colors today. Recommended, would do it again.

Such a beautiful hike with amazing views. I give it “two thumbs up”.

Beautiful park and trail. Agree with Hard rating, mostly boulder climbing. Make sure you have good hiking shoes and bring water and snacks.

Spectacular opportunities to hike and climb and explore in a breathtaking environment. These golden boulders invite to explore off track. Even saw a bobcat crossing my path at 10m distance. Lucky he/she was just as surprised as I was.

Family of five with three kids in elementary school had a blast on this hike. First mile is mostly up but then flattens out for second mile to Tom’s Thumb. Beautiful views and a well-maintained trail get two thumbs up ;)

Only thing we would do differently is go in via Chuckwagon trail instead of the road. Much of the road is dusty and traveled by jeeps and 4 wheelers. The bridge is definitely worth hiking to even though the last quarter of a mile is fairly steep and requires a little scrambling.

It was beautiful, a pretty easy walk/hike. Don't bring your dog unless you know they can handle it. There were a lot of people carrying small dogs.

Relatively short and for the most part easy. There's one section getting near the top where you have to scramble up the rocks. There's also a side trail where you can view the arch from underneath which as worth the extra little walk. The trail was quite crowded so if I went again I would go during the week and even earlier in the morning

Make sure you take a right when you get to the fork on the trail. Left for spring (top of waterfall) right for dam (bottom). Took about 7 hours pacing myself and spending time at the waterfall. Hiked in mid April and water was great!

Great Hike. Well maintained trail all the way up. The steward at the top was very friendly and provide good info about the area. Took the dog with and had to keep him on the leash the whole time due to high traffic and previous reviews of snakes being more active near the trail.

Easy hike, scenic views, popular spot. About 3-4 miles round trip from parking.

If you stick out a thumb and a bee you might get a free private pink Jeep tour from a local on the walk back :)

Awesome trail. I rate easy trail with moderate elevation.. Bonus we seen the wild horses on the end of our hike playing in the lake.

We took Chuck Wagon Trail there and back. We got there around 7:30am and easily found parking. Nice, easy hike most of the way. It was a little bit of a climb at the very end but nothing crazy and well worth it :)

Was absolutely worth the wait and yes although a tough hike, with plenty of water, proper shoes, snacks & laughter from friends, recommend this hike. Get permit and enjoy.

Pretty strenuous hike and my husband and I are pretty avid hikers. Falls were dry which didn’t make the 11.5 mile hike worth it.

This is an extremely popular hike and the parking lot stayed full so there was a lot of parking on the road. We drove our Jeep in on the wide, rocky path for about a quarter-mile and hiked in the rest. There are several, well setup steep steps which quickly add to the elevation of this hike but I overheard several folks say it is well worth the effort, and I certainly agree.

Not a hard trail. Took a little over 2 hours with several stops for pictures. Really pretty area right below the dam.

Beautiful hike just an hour out of Phoenix. Uphill the entire way out, but it’s a well kept, smooth, dirt trail, so not too strenuous. Some steep cross-backs. No trees, so being water if it’s warm! Hiking among the pebbles of giants.

Hiked Thursday 4/12 in the afternoon. Super popular and busy trail- not for those looking for solitude. Easy inclines and everyone is patient to allow each person to walk onto the bridge for a photo op. Great views.
