Nice easy incline to the falls. Beautiful falls at the end. <3
Beautiful waterfall. Up trail is VERY rocky and steep.
AWESOME x 2!
Date hiked: 2/20/21 Distance: 3 miles Rating: easy-moderate BEAUTIFUL! WORTH IT! I felt so lucky to find a parking spot on a Saturday afternoon. Few creek crossings, so bring some waterproof shoes! The downhill stairs to the falls is a warning... because you gotta go right back up! Highly recommend this hike. Note: parking lot is not super large.
Easy hike with great views of the waterfall. Definitely worth it.
Very rocky at top. Would prefer the stairs along the waterfall
Great hike! Fun water crossings
Highly strenuous but the views are definitely worth it! We climbed up the falls (about 600 stairs) and took the trail back down the mountain. Highly recommended for a good hiking experience.
beautiful falls. MODERATE hike. whew. crowded at the falls. didn't stay long.
Camp ground closed. Had to use Trail head off of main road. Decent hike. Water Falls were nice
Beautiful water fall. Short easy to follow trail to get there.
My husband and I thought this trail was amazing. We have health issues so sometimes trails are hard for us to navigate. This trail was very wide in some spots and not much of an elevation, so we were able to handle it. The only negatives were how muddy and slippery it was And the fact that the bridge had missing slats. We weren’t sure if we could get our dog over it. The mud was OK because it is winter in the north Georgia mountains, so that was to be expected. I hope to go back and be able to cross the bridge safely. The waterfall was gorgeous And lots of smaller falls along the creek. I love how you could hear the creek the entire time you were hiking!
absolutely beautiful!! little muddy but was expected after a day of rain! well worth it.
Was a beautiful hike and view
Beautiful
Muddy mud everywhere. Don't wear white!
Went on a misty saturday morning and only saw one couple on the trail! The first half was in pretty good condition but was muddy after some rain once you stray from the creek. Not a walk in the park but as long as you have your wits about you, it’s no trouble. Great views!
Not an easy trail. “Abandoned” trail really is abandoned but can be “forced.” Waterfall is beautiful. Busy trail even mid-week in February.
I had but an hour to hike this afternoon. Since I hadn’t been to Yellow Branch in a couple of years, I decided to make a figure eight hike by taking the old trail to the top of the falls and then carefully descend to the base. I forgot about all of the small, beautiful waterfalls on the streams heading to the falls. But taking the old trail was difficult. There were a lot of fallen trees to navigate under, over, and around. Once I got to the base of the falls there were three large trees across the creek, making it difficult to navigate and take photos. It took me about an hour and half to make the hike.
A beautiful short hike to a beautiful fall many smaller falls on the creeks running to the the big angel fall. The trail was wet and snow still on the ground hiking boots definitely be needed
