Very crowded in the summer but if you can get to it in the spring or fall, you will not be disappointed. Views are stunning and the trail is relatively easy. Great spot for leaf lookers or family picnics. Their are no guard rails on the rock face so parents with small kids need to be aware and pay close attention.

Really nice fall hike with my dog. Go there on a weekday in the morning to have the place to yourself and let dog Off-leash. The falls were very nice.

Beautiful park with nice trails and lovely scenery. Highly recommend stopping by and checking it out.

Great trails, very dog friendly!

Made the trek from the boat launch to the falls, 3.6 miles round trip, and did the 178 steps at the falls to the overlook! Absolutely stunning views both of the falls and the overlook!

Nice walk in October!

Great trails! Just the right length for the afternoon. Lots of mountain bikers, so refrain from wearing headphones so you can pay attention to trail traffic!

Beautiful, short, shaded, clean beach and less crowded

Great trail. Classic Wisconsin. Bluffs, meadows, rolling trails

Beautiful, wooded, easy climb winding trail with great views at the top. Dog friendly. Gets a little busy at peak times but not too bad.

The trail itself was pretty mild and easy. I was able to complete it with two dogs. The steps down to the beach were a little steep but the dogs managed it well. Definitely worth the trip!

Beautiful! Just a little shorter hike than anticipated and was hoping for something more challenging. Great for a family outing or just to escape to a quiet beautiful place. Bring your swimsuit - you can cool off in the falls or in a couple quiet spots along the river. I’ll be going back for sure!

Nice trail to the top of a rock outcrop with a nice view. One loop is a dirt path; the other is asphalt and appears to be an old road to the top. The dirt path is nicer and easier on the knees. Next time I'd take that up and down.

$13 permit.
Nice walk to the falls. You'll find some scenic overlooks along the way. Pet friendly. Moderate difficulty. But there are options for a higher intensity (uphill and downhill) if you cut through the woods (trail). Follow the signs to historic graveyard for a higher intensity trail.

Parking areas are very small for how popular this trail is. The River Road lot looked to only have 3 spaces. The County A lot had about 30 spaces. We had to turn back unfortunately.

First off, $13 parking fee. The park was under-construction so there were areas of the trail that were inaccessible. The landscape was gorgeous. Didn’t make it to the falls but it seemed busy coming from that direction.

Very easy and quick walk 40 minutes round trip. Go early. The beach gets packed with boaters.

Nice easy hike. Beautiful scenery.

Felt like more of a walk than a hike. Either super sunny or all shade and bugs. Some steep hills which is a good challenge but since it’s all graded felt more like a walk than a hike. The falls were great to see though but PACKED with people swimming and lounging. I’d suggest a weekday.

About a 20 min hike, one way. Actually got a jogging stroller about 95% of the way down trail. Last 500 feet are down steep set of stone steps. Reward is worth it. Go early. We had the place to ourselves for awhile until a pontoon boat pulled onto shore and ruined the view. Small, labeled parking lot off river road. In the morning the beach is shaded. We waded in the river for a bit. Water seemed clean. Nice sand beach with fine sand and few rocks. Entry into river is not rocky and smooth.

Ok for a short morning walk the falls are pretty but can be very crowded because there's a parking lot nearby letting people access the falls easily without hiking in.

Did this hike over the winter months and it was a decent trail—not at all difficult. The waterfall is gorgeous and I would love to come back in the fall. I think the trails are very well suited to Nordic skiing, which I would also like to come back and do.

There are a few steep hills but nothing crazy. Mostly out in the open, not a lot of shade and no water sources. Also the drawdown of the lake doesn’t leave you with great water views. But still a good hike.

Beautiful place to spend a day. Lots of rental opportunities on the lake as well like, kayak, boat, paddle board etc. will do again!

I love this loop. I visit it probably a half dozen times a year. Great views, easy hiking, places to camp, accessible restrooms. Weekends are quite busy by the falls.

Wonderful easy trail.

Easy, gradual hike with great views. I will definitely stop back when I'm in the area again.

If you go early in the morning on a weekday, it's very empty and peaceful. The later you go in the day, the more heavy traffic you will see. The waterfall is worth the walk. Beware of snakes, especially if you have little ones walking with you.

LOVE the waterfall and the scenic view points are great, especially the one at the top of the staircase. Easily a favorite and have visited many times.
